I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else.

one day my baby brother jammed 4 I repeat 4 disks (with brawl already in there) into my wii's dvd drive. they were just blanks thank goodness, but It messed up the drive for a while. After a few days it fixed itself thank goodness, but it made a lot more noise and I DIDN'T realize this until later but would sometimes scratch up games a LOT

Once, I took it to Weruop's house and it started acting up, probably because of being in a bag. Now the drive is crap.

Nintendo charges I think 70 (!) dollars + shipping to repair it, and I'm only 15 and I don't have a job so what should I do?

EDIT

I do have homebrew actually *smacks head*

I have the usb thing downloaded, but I have yet to buy a big drive. I know it's best to just put the disk in and wait an hour, that seems really convenient. I went on the pirate bay and saw a lot of games, but I figure if the game is not popular I'm out of luck. PM me if you know anything else so we don't get in trouble :-O

well by that I meant the disk drive, even though it is a fully compatible dvd drive, hardware wise

Consider getting homebrew channel and loading games through USB. A much better investment for that $70 than to get it fixed. As for how, I can't tell you as its against the rules. You'll have to google that.

Edit: Just noticed you said you don't have money/job. You can still easily get everything even with $30. It just depends how many games you want on your flashdrives/hard drives/any eletronic storage device.

I wasn't aware that the Wii had a DVD drive, or that it could somehow have five discs crammed in it. 0_o

i think he meant DVD as in the drive itself. "Wii Optical discs" are pretty much just DVD's anyway.

The kid is a mad man for doing such a thing!

you could order a triwing screwdriver and try to fix whatever is wrong (that's if its a hardware or mechanical malfunction), only a dollar.

I know a forum where they've got a big community where the homebrew and tech stuff with wii covered there, but just have an anti-virus and spyware remover ready, i think that site got buffed with ad's, I'm ot sure if it IS clean, as i'm on a mac. should be safe though. anyway if you ant to learn more, PM me.
