I picked up Snake recently because I suddenly got good with him. Anyway watch my videos.

Overall, I would say no complaints. I don't know the diddy kong match-up against snake all that well so not sure what I can say about that, but it seemed like everytime you had to recover you recovered really close to the stage edge with UpB. I'm pretty sure that's not something you want to be doing all the time as someone with decent predicting, plus depending on the character, can just go and gimp your recovery. Although you did a good job at making sure it wasn't easy to get gimped when doing that.

A few times I noticed when you got a jab in you didn't really cancel it into say a jab > ftilt, but instead went for the AAA combo instead. Also, I only saw you get like one grab. If you can get the tech chasing thing down that's a lot of free damage you can rack up. Although, playing against diddy kong I'd think it might be difficult to get any grabs in.

Everything else seemed fine.

Your nade game is at it's peak, b pivioting horizontal recoverys is a nice mind game.

Your ftilt game isn't there, this move puts on 21% and can be chained on less experienced players (Ftilt knee+pause+grab) also do like two tech chases to a full ftilt combo and you get dam near 50% dmg

I have to say this again, Where is the tech chase? I saw a couple opportunity where OoS you could of grabed diddy, tech chase is amazing with snake (THE BEST WITH SNAKE) utilize it, people can be better then you, but theres only 4 options someone can do, it puts you in a huge advantage.

Lol, Nice Uair+cypher in the first match.

Also, use pivot grab, it's to broken with snake.

also, Please don't ever recovery 1 inch from the stage with snake, if you see diddy on the stage and your recovering while hugging the stage, c4 recover, or else you are going to get spiked. Try your best, to recover high, and fast fall your air dodge.

I agree with what Panix said. Abuse Snake's grabs more. It does look like you're using the snake dash too much. Like everytime you get them away and you use it to get you to them. I think that the Diddy just didn't know how to fight Snake or else he could've punished the snake dash many times, b/c there was a pattern to when you were using it. =P

Also, around like 3:40 of the second match, you seemed to be using dair everytime you get hit in the air. I don't know if that's you hoping to hit him and keep him off you, but you don't need to use an aerial every time you get hit with a non-fatal move, especially one like dair. An airdodge might have kept you from getting repetitively hit like that, or maybe something like a bair. (lawl broken hitboxes) I don't see much nair usage either. It's a great move and can land an unexpected kill. Instead of repeatedly trying to get an utilt kill in your 3rd match, you could have just thrown out a surprise nair.


I'm a fellow Snake player from North Carolina. Possibly the best one in eastern/coastal NC. Maybe we'll see each other at a tourney sometime.

needs moar tilts and grabs IMO.Or maybe you weren't doin them just because it was a diddy and you didn't wanna trip....

Try grabbing diddys nanners moar too btw and use them against him. Theres nothing more annoying than when someone uses your own nanners against you -__-
