Ages upon ages ago, I started a thread where we talked about potential music in Brawl, what stages it would accompany, the game it was from, and why we would want it in. Sadly, that thread is dead and gone (I can find it but not open it.) But, in celebration of the announcement of my music, and the joy it brings me to learn of the enormous amount of music that will be in the game, It gives me great pleasure to create a thread where you can show people the music you want in Brawl.
But what do you mean by "show" D_King?
Well, I'll tell you. In order to tell people what you want, you have to give them the oppertunity to listen to it. Just link the pages with the music back here. It's hard to describe a song. But with the site listed below, it's easy to allow others to listen.
Copy and paste this> http://gh.ffshrine.org/soundtracks.php
Then click on "Click here" to open the song. Don't link directly as the links won't work the following day. Anyone who remembers the original thread knows how much of a pain in the butt that was.
On this page, you can find just about any music to any game you can imagine. Find it, post it here along with a description and some history, and you're on your way. I encourage everyone to post, listen, and critique.
So without further Adieu, I present MY top 5 picks for Brawl!
1. Star Wolf's theme (Star Fox Assault)
http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/1562/68
Ah yes. My number 1 theme. It has so much potential as it is by nature, battle music. Reworking isn't necessary but may fuel the already epic flow of the music that creates both an epic and adrenaline filled atmosphere. It's a well known theme, first appearing in Star Fox 64, and anyone who played SF64, Assault, or Command probably remembers this tune. It's awfully hard to forget it!
2. Taking over the Halberd (Kirby's Super Star)
http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/5547/10
The DEFINITIVE Meta-Knight theme. A fast high energy and chaotic theme, that suits the very nature of the game well. Untouched, this song is a masterpiece. Aided by an orchestra, this theme could be an anthem in the world of Kirby and Nintendo alike. The Halberd has already been confirmed as a stage, so why leave out a track that made the Halberd so unforgettable in the first place.
3. Tal Tal Mountain Range (Link's Awakening)
http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/681/68
This track, especially with the instrumental limitations of the game boy, was by far one of the most memorable themes in Zelda history, and that's saying a lot. Spawning TWO remixes on OC remix is quite a feat for a gameboy game. However, it's potential after being played by an entire orchestra makes me want this game in Brawl all the more. It's sure to be epic! (thanks to kaburii for his research. This song has NOT been confirmed yet.)
4. Marble Zone (Sonic the Hedgehog)
http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/161/3
In the highly likely event that Sonic is included in Brawl, I deeply want this song in Brawl. Though Green Hill Zone is probably the more popular song of the two, the Marble Zone is the better song in my opinion. Anyone who played the original Sonic the Hedgehog will instantly recognize this timeless tune, and with a bit of updating, many others who never played a Sonic game in thier lives will instantly realize how good the Sonic music used to be.
5. Bloody Tears (Castlevania II)
http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/1339/2
Though the probability of Simon Belmont... or anyone else from the Castlevania series is slim, it would be obvious to include this song in the gam. it has been a pinnacle of the Castlevania series for years (originating in Haunted Castle, and later Castlevania II) and constantly appears in sequals and spin-offs. Even to this day. The catchy yet dark melody of the song makes it easy to understand why konami feels it is still worthy to grace most of the Castlevania games. Hopefully, Nintendo will realize why it deserves to grace Brawl.
So there you have it. My top five picks. Feel free to comment or post your own lists. If for some reason, you can't find a good MP3 of a song you want, I also reccomend going to vgmusic.com and ocremix.org. Or ask around! SOMEONE should know where your music is!
