In a futile attempt to pick up a solid backup for my Marth ahead of my Pichu, I'm left with these two high tiers. Peach predominantly because my doubles partner is demanding it and Fox because...well he's Fox >_<

Let's start this thread off on a good note: my fox haxing battlefield for a momentum shifting moment

Okay, on to actual matches:

Peach (only one vid up so far)

peach vs. golden_leeroy (luigi)

Fox

fox vs. golden_leeroy (luigi)

fox vs. golden_leeroy (red fox)

fox vs. Uber (falco) 2 again ******** >_> but more like a real match so I'll put this above the other one.

fox vs. Uber (falco) 1 absolutely ********, lol.

fox vs. HK (Marth) the spamasaurus rex strikes. But can he hold on?

Ack!

I hate you

1. Get a better opponent, that Luigi was both a scrub and attempted to spam Misfire:)

2. Yes, the spammersaurus rex can indeed hold on:laugh:

3. Those Fox vs. Falco were totally ********

4. I SHOULD STOP TRYING TO PLAY FOX!!

i watched your vids yesterday, and wasnt going to comment, because i figured someone would come along and critique you, but ok, i guess not....

alright... the luigi was bad, w/e fight someone else

match 2... fox ditto... ok it was the same player and it is simple, he isnt as good as you, no disrespect to either of you meant, just more even matches are needed.

match 3--- kk, it wasnt really a good match, but i can give some advice on it. you missed those techs when falco threw you down, which led to an avoidable chain throw... also, i like the illusion edgehogs, but i think there were better ways to go just with simple smashes.... this match made me mad, because it just seemed like the falco got lucky in all of his kills, while you were working hard for the win...

match 4--- this one was a good testament of your skilz... i mean without the two ******** deaths, you would have 4 stocked... umm... nice drill shines, good edgehog to edgeguarding, and nice chain throws and tech chasing... not much i can say, since i dont dabble much in fox...

match 5---- ahhh, but i do play marth, lol... this one was a horrible match... it seemed like both of you were very nervous, i could be wrong, but those first couple stocks were just stiffly played, with both people messing up alot... overall i thought you did well, just maybe try jumping out of the juggling act, and throwing marth offstage.... (shine spiking him isnt too hard, when he tries for the sweetspot)...

yeah...

sorry for not giving the best advice or critiquing but at least i tried... and seriously tho, you need to find new/better people to play. your fox is too good for these people, and you SHOULD HAVE beaten even the marth.

(sorry for no peach advice)

in the place i've been wishing to be
muse, i thought you and I agreed that the run off -> illusion edgehog was ineffective, slow, and unnecessarily risky? Take that **** out of your technique and you'll be better for sure. Well, that and stop killing yourself and you'll be better off. More DDing might help more too? I think you spent too little time taking advantage of your movement/speed abilities to fake out your opponents (all fox fights)

As for peach, you look fine to me. <3 random burst of speed at end of your first stock, that pretty much sealed the gap. You just need to get used to the spacing and get less predictable with what you're going to do. Otherwise decent job, we'll rock double peach next smashfest ;) If you can chaingrab with peach as well as you can with fox, then I guess you'll be a double threat vs. FFers too.

I understand what you're talking about dude225, (it may seem like johning, but) those really weren't the best maches from either of us, hopefully this Friday we'll kick it up a notch or two.

I'm just going to agree w/ what the elfenpeach said about the illusion edge guard. I think its unnecessarily dangerous. It would best be served as a mind game than your main form of edge guard. Flashy yes, but you shouldn't spam it. Once in a blue moon to keep your opponent guessing and to mix things up. Overall I liked both your Peach and Fox both have need for improvement.

Fox should probably learn to aim the upB into the ledge when above the stage. Probably could have saved you at least once in the match versus Marth. And... yeah, I guess that's all from me for now.

I can do that and often do, i think i was just playing too uptight and thinking *UP* would somehow get me away from the sword without really thinking that inevitably i'd have to come down with immense landing lag >_< Its a good point though, my match would've been made much easier without pretty much hanging myself by trying to escape edgeguards like that.

sorry for the strong comments leeroy, but as i said no disrepect, everyone has off days and it sux that yours was the day of taping. i find that when i tape, or ppl watch, i play worse as well, or at least used to, but then i got 4 stocked in front of about 30 ppl, and i got over the feeling, and now i can play on a much better league than b4

and i agree with elfen lied's comment completely... its like sheik's double explosion edgehog, basically just a fancy way of accomplishing an edgehog, but not always the best for the situation...

and im glad this thread got some attention, :)
