I read the rules so I hope this isn't against them :/.
For those of you who don't know the game In The Groove, it was a game spawned off of RoXXoR in an effort to create a harder, more customizable DDR using the Stepmania engine. What resulted was a very popular game. HOWEVER, RoXXoR was sued and eventually lost rights to the company.
Recently, however, a new song pack called In The Groove: Rebirth was released. It was a fanmade pack that included some great (and even some actual songs) from In The Groove 3. There has been one song, however, which has been giving me great trouble. This song is Chromatic Blitz.
It is the first 'legitimate' 14 on In The Groove, but I've been hooked on getting a 99.XX on this song for quite a while. You may be wondering, What is a 99.XX? Well, it's simple. There are judgements in In The Groove like Dance Dance Revolution. Fantastic, Excellent, Great, Decent, Way Off, and Miss. To 99.XX a song, you need roughly 30-40 excellents depending on the song, and the rest fantastics. It's REALLY hard to 99.XX a song with a great unless you have like 10 or less excellents. Keep in mind, those of you who've played DDR, the Fantastic window is tighter than the Perfect window.
Regardless, I have (between playing on keyboard -- I use my two index Fingers on the Arrow keys) and on arcade pad. I have about 40 99.XX's (Hereafter referred to as Tri-stars) between about 700 songs that I play. Not really very good. My FA is pretty bad tbh. I'm working on it though!
My Current record on this song is 98.68, I'd really like to get the tri-star because it's really starting to bug me. I'll link a video of Chromatic Blitz so you get the idea of what the songs like.
Also, keep in mind. I don't memorize these charts, I've been playing the game for 2 years and don't know a single chart by heart (nice poetry). I can't really explain it, but trust me, once you get it down, the sky is the limit to how fast you can read (I read at roughly 600-700 BPM depending on the song).
So yeah, hopefully I'll get it soon, been working on it for about a month now. :/
