Obviously, like all other people, I was amazed and excited, it seemed so sweet.

And I still think it is, thinking up all the possible levels I want to create, but looking a little further into it, it looks ridiculously shallow, comparable to making a Mii.

The 3 size choices is expected, no problems there. But then getting into just about everything else (besides the music), every other option looks really, really small.

To start, look at the backgrounds. There are only 3 shown, and there aren't any indicators showing it can be moved left or right for more backgrounds. That could be alright, until you realize in the rest of the pics, the background dictates what objects you can use. Not only that, but the color of the blocks as well.

The first background is like a mountain backdrop, where you have blackish/greyish, kind of carved stone-looking blocks and 5 exra objects.

The second background is the technological looking one, where the pieces kinda look like the ones from the Metroid-themed escape from Zebes in melee. That one has spikes and stuff in it though for extra objects, which looks pretty cool.

The third background is like a cave/ruins. The blocks are tannish/orange and has 5 extra objects.

Now, before you go and say a bunch of dumb stuff and call me names and insult my intelligence and accuse me of being a troll or whatever (from my experience on these boards, all of that happens a lot for absolutely no reason), don't get me wrong. I'm pretty sure I'll love this feaure and use it a lot, and I'm also equally as sure that by the time of launch, it'll have a lot of the stuff improved. But I'm just saying, if they do't do anything to fix all the shortcomings, its going to be a really lackluster feature that could have been a LOT better. But they probably will do some stuff to improve it.

Anyways, still excited as hell for the game, cant wait.

dude its a few friggin pictures. did you think Sakurai would show every little feature of stage builder with every little bit? Also dont forget the possiblitity of unlockable addons..

Possibly each character has his/her own "package" with a certain amount of items, traps, backgrounds, etc.

Also they have stated there will be Wifi Downloadable content? Holiday packages anyone?

the old saying takes a heavy tole when predicting..

"Assuming makes an *** out of you and me."

Hmmm, I actually see where you're coming from with this. I also believe that this feature may let a few shortcomings make it incredibly lackluster, although I also believe that what we have seen is only the tip of the iceberg and we will only see more. Wifi-downloadable custom parts anyone?

I ain't gonna flame you, but just listen.

Lack of backgrounds = game is still in production, more could be added.

And I didn't really see much else criticizing it in your post.

I'll just say this, this game would have been a 95% reviewer score AT LEAST, with this sort of extra feature, I'd say It's gone up 2%.

I think for one of the rare occasions in life, a game developer has decided that instead of thinking 'We gonna make this game good so we can make loads of monehz.', they're thinking 'Ok, we are gonna make everyone review this game with a 10/10!'

In other words, be thankful, man.

I have to agree and Ive mentioned it a few times-Your choices are much more limited than you think.....However on a brighter note I noticed there was a tap at the top right in some pictures that had the Z button and hten read "ALL" could this be a flip to all of the platforms and such??????

Man, lets complain that Brawls graphics aren't that good, now!

Seriously; graphics don't make the game, and they won't make your stupid builder levels either. Stop whining.

Notice anything?

If you guessed that the cursor is over 'OK' you guessed correctly!

Using your logic elements806, we can only those* choose 2 songs.

I think the Z button performs a palette swap on all of the items you have placed so far - i.e., it switches them between the 3 themes that are available. I could be wrong though, since "All" seems to be an odd label for something like that.

Looks like the cursor is over the mountain background to me (green border).

Ok let me ask you this, when was the last time Sakurai gave us a 100% everything is there strait update? NEVER.

If you look at the screen shots, there are 4 backrounds I believe, and on the picture with the items, there is a "Z All" button which means that those items are from just one category.
