First match.

Don't spotdodge -> D-smash unless of course he whiffs a Smash on your spotdodge. Spotdodging is only good for getting grabs with G&W.

In fact, spotdodging against Marth is usually a bad idea anyway since DB ***** spotdodges.

Learn to shieldgrab him out of DB.

In general I think you didn't grab enough. D-tilt and Jab are also underestimated options against him.

Normally i wouldn't care to give other G&W's advice but you use the same color that i use so ill try to help u out.

First off, made apparent by watching the first match, your bair spacing can be improved just start di'ing to the opposite direction as soon as it hits and u won't be punished as easily.

Next, im sure u noticed that your opponent seems to expect you to attack him when he lands on the ground so try to mix it up with some grabs that way your d-smash won't get stale since thats ur quickest smash and u need that for ko's.

2nd match u owned him on final so good stuff to you, You really don't seem to be grabbing as much as u should and jab isn't bad vs him either uhh don't shorthop fair so much, opt to full hop it instead and again di back as soon as it hits just to be safe and maybe airdodge/jump or w/e u think u gotta do.

3rd match vs marth lmao get lucky with that last kill ,i do think that your edgegaurding could be slightly better and a decent player is not going to let u fair him/her so easily

Vs mk well.... DON'T EVER cp fd!!! gaw vs mk is a linear battle and only after g&w can breach through mk's defense does his other moves like nair/uair and up b become viable cp'ing on that flat *** stage make it all the more difficult for you to do that. Try running in and shielding more for both matchups... bair beats glide attack or u can shield/perfect shield, then grab dtilt, parachute even smash if he hits ur shield to high.

Oh wow this post is getting too long for my taste so i'll just end it here overall i think u aren't as bad as other G&W's i've seen and have lots of potential. That's all! I'm just a random G&W mainer but i hope you'll consider taking my advice to heart

at 1:05 first video (against marth)
"If you shield the 4th hit of Marth's dancing blade (SideB) you're guaranteed an fsmash." random fact :3
Yeah I agree that first match (vs marth) you were punished for spot dodging and SH fairing a lot
Also, you seem to short hop a lot of your aerials and from my personal experience SH aerials are generally easier for marth to punish. If you full hop more aerials I think it may help your spacing and you'll easily be able to mix up your approaches. (this is just based off of some marth experience I have, let the more experienced G&W mains correct me)

at 0:12 I think a full hopped turtle may have been better than short hopped one

note how zac makes very good use of both FH with SH aerials AND he conserves his 2nd jump, allowing him to have more variety in his playstyle.
That's my opinion, I hope it helps a little.

I only watched the last vid...because the first vid didn't load for some reason. (Against the marth).
First off, great 9. It was epic. Second, since I didn't see the first vid I'm assuming he took you battle field. Given that gaw is good with platforms, you wouldn't want to take Marth here. I would actually ban this over Final D. Because he can utilize the platforms a lot better than you can, and more efficiently. I don't know the ruleset for map picking, or what maps you could take, but vs marth, I would actually choose Rainbow Cruise, Jungle Japes, or Delfino. The huge space gives you ample room to move and get away from him. This entire fight is a spacing fight, and you need some wiggle room against marth. Brinstar MIGHT be viable, but it's very cramped, and actually could be very bad for you lol. The reason I mention it, is if you feel like he has 0 experience on it, then it could tip it in your favor. But since there's no way to tell if he knows it or not, then I would just avoid it lol.

Third, he's pretty feisty in the air, fair being his main approach and is faster and has more range and priority than your air moves, you can only really run from them, and wait to punish. The only thing you have in your arsenal is nair and uair. He has great attacks and defense except from below him. Any grab you have should actually throw him upward and juggle with nair and uair. Unless you feel pretty comfortable with your techchase game. Avoid short hopping your fairs, unless you know for sure it will hit. When you miss, you could eat a forward smash.

DEFINITELY shield his sideB everytime. After the forth hit, you have a guaranteed forward smash. Everytime. And he will be a very sad marth. Don't side step, or roll. Especially don't roll. marth is switft enough to punish most rolls. In general, just don't roll.

Overall, this matchup is a huge spacing battle. Both of you can punish very well, and you both have a very nice defensive game. What will win this for you is keeping Marth in the air. Both his air and ground game are virtually superior to yours, but staying below him to rack up damage is what will win you the match. Be patient.

Go ahead and post these in the video critique thread from now on, that's what it's there for. I know it may look like no one posts there, but that's because we haven't had many videos lately. Once you post, all the people that are subscribed to that thread will come and watch your videos. Hopefully they will give feedback then =)
