Germany, but i dont use this account anymore, my n
... sucks, I know .

That's why I'm postin' this .
To get a little bit help with improving my Fox playstyle .

I was playin' an only technical Fox a while ago, but realized that i can't stand it.
My technical skill is good, i can do probably most stuff, but it's NOT consistent as you'll see.
I mess up like almost everthing in vs matches, even l-cancels sometimes (But that´s only
with Fox, he's just too fast for me I guess)

Where i really need help is approaching and ledgegame.
Please tell me what i'm doin' wrong and give me some advice how to do better.

Quality is pretty ok i think, allthough it's black and white.

I'm watching one at a time->commentary. Each bit applies to a different aspect I noticed..

You need to start working on your mental game [tip]

You're being a little too agressive. Against Link, put your techskill to work not on your approach, but on dealing with his projectiles consistently, which could be evading, jabbing, reflecting, etc. Make him chase you, and intercept!

FD...this stage has no platforms making it a lot harder to deal with spam, you need to be more fluid in your techskill with not only your aprroaches, but retreats as well. You almost always ran in straight with an aerial; sometimes shffl'ed, maybe sh--l'ed, and on occasion it would just be sh--.

Importantly, regarding your use of the wavedash. I recommend for beginners to not wavedash forward unless they are at least a firefox away (capeice?). The wavedash can easily make you more vulnerable to enemy attacks during your landing lag and "finger lag".

I like to reflect about one out of every four or so bombs/arrows thrown directly at me, just enough to make them put their guard up and they'll still get hit every now and then. It's relatively easy-to-use protection, but make sure you space it the distance of one of your wavedashes away from him. So much of this game, and especially fox, is just staying out of range so the potential for counterattack is too slow. Maybe even just slow enough for you to to land a nice grab during their failed "punishment".

Out of curiosity, is Disturbed (player) someone you play on a regular basis?

Fox:
Just work on your gay stuff. Stop waveshining so much and grab out of those shines. Learn to shinespike link. Learn to jump out and land a shinespike on his head. Learn to bait him into a high recovery and backair, or use your invulnerability to drop off and backair. Seriously, Link is easy to kill off the side once you get the hang of it. Upthrow->upair should be more consistant as well.

Link:
Calm down on the spin attacks. 90% of that Fox hitting you was you missing a spin attack. It doesn't do good enough damage and is too laggy to effectively result in kills. If you predict a missed tech, land a downsmash or an uptilt and start a combo instead. Many of those moves combo into more powerful moves, like uthrow, utilt, dash attack, spin attack, or Dthrow, techchase dsmash, utilt, downair, or even multiple nairs to bump Fox off the side. Also, learn to tech-chase with Grabs, it's so easy with Link.

instead of going for as many shines, when hes vulnerable, uthrow->uair is probably the best bet. you did it a couple times but not enough. shine>grab is also more effective that waveshining him. it can lead to a better combo and a lot more damage.

good tech skill but you could work on your mind games and theory a little bit more.

@Wilhelmsan: Where do you know me from? I'm Disturbed aka Ravenlord.

@vids:
Andy, edgeguarding a Link is not that hard.
See what's his habit. Up B or hookshoot.
When he does hookshoot on the edge, try to stall or edgehop through it. Then you can often shinespike him. When he does Up-B as a recovery and you're edgehogging, he has to get on the platform. So how can you edgeguard him on the platform?
- Get on it, waveshine -> upsmash
- Edgehop, B-air,
-etc

I don't feel like writing more now. Nice Fox though.
