My First Texture: Tips?

Glad to have it done. Although, I seem to have some resolution problems with the texture.

Logo Done By Arkaether. But does he want credit? Probably not. :p

Why is the resolution so bad from close up and somewhat farther away? Is that just how it will be?

It's barely even a texture. :p
