Are they playing for money? Nah, so why should winning matter? I guess it's just a mind set I've developed from playing in tournaments.watchu mean its not about winning? a 1v1 game thats not about winning??? wTF? is it about like having fun or something. but seriously wat do you mean by that brookman
actually it was a 25 cent mm.. i like and understand what youre saying here though. Are they playing for money? Nah, so why should winning matter? I guess it's just a mind set I've developed from playing in tournaments.
When I play friendly matches my primary concern is practicing certain things like wave/drill shining, certain edge guards, experimenting with weak nairs/bairs Up and forward B usage, or I may focus on beating a certain aspect of the other players game.
That's why I say good **** for losing the match, since he went for the shine spike. Speaking of which, Buster, you realize falco's charging animation isn't an attack which makes falco particularly vulnerable? Also, on the topic of edge guarding, when you throw or hit someone off the stage you don't need to jump after them, trust me, they'll come to you.
Which is why I say keep playing. Watch vids of pc/kdj/m2k if you want to develop a competitive fox style. If you want to stick to flashy/fun go with silent wolf and whoever else thinks they're technical. Practive your l canceling, waveshining, grab set ups, and general movement (I couldn't stress that enough)
Don't forget to practice the basics, such as running, different walking speeds, fast falling, jumping (double jumping and short hopping included), and don't forget that fox's moveset is basically fantastic from his jabs and tilts all the way to his forward b. It's really best to develop your own style.
But, if you're not that into melee then, well, whatever.
Anyway, enough bull****, time to take care of business.
