Yeah, that FD match was kinda gay.
Although It would have looked good if I made the 1 stock - 3 stock comeback XD.
Mine and Eggz matches are much better. Especially our Falco ditto.

Lols. Jem vs Eggz are a lot better.
L-Cancelling Dairs is probably the only semi-weird thing for me to do since I jump with control stick. Being why I dont Spike-shine-spike-shine that much, since it can be prevented anyways.

Overall not bad...

The FD match was obviously very bleh.

You did much better on Pokemon Stadium. I'm pretty turned off by your double shining... I saw you combo out of it once or twice, but when you double shined it just looked like you were trying to show off... Nothing wrong with showing off, I just don't feel like your Falco is quite to that level yet. (No offense. It'll get there)

To critique...

Your lasers seem very campy. I'd like to see you move more when you SHL. That's not to say that you don't ever move when you SHL, it just seems like you'll get to a point in your game where you're not really sure what to do, so you just spam a few lasers until you figure it out... In other words, try to be more fluid. Work on spacing your lasers a little better... When you master the spacing, you'll find that your whole game speeds up greatly.

Your edge guarding was pretty mediocre... It wasn't bad, it wasn't great... Just kinda' in the middle. Edge guarding is one of those things that's constantly evolving and improving... It'll get better the more you play, just try to be more aware of the times you mess it up so you can better handle it the next time a similar recovery is happening.

Your movement on the platforms could use some work too... Probably one of the harder things to improve on, but once you get proficient at it, you'll find yourself getting much faster on platform stages.

All in all, you have a good Falco... Continue practicing and you'll be hard to beat in no time.

I have to say this, since everyone thinks double-shining is just for showing off:
1. It isn't hard to do, so it's not like you can really show it off.
2. If they shield through the first one and let go to say, try and neutral air or u-tilt or something, you get them. Better than shining once and getting hit, since you can waveshine through a guy 3 times and it won't do anything.

The double-shines look more like habit and less like strategy. While 'shine > spike > shine...etc.' can be semi-prevented with some good DI, I think it's a pretty integral part of the falco game, so you should probably get a little bit more fluid.

Also, don't let him just stick his shield up when you're lasering. It looks like you're afraid to get up close. Run up and grab him when he does that, or shffl aerial > shine.

You really really need to work on your lasers and shffls. Your lasers weren't mobile enough and your dairs were conspicuously slow. I think the main reason for this is because you use the control stick to jump. Falco's lasers and dairs in order to really require you to be able to DI and fastfall correctly and precisely. If you're using the control stick to jump I think it's simply too hard to be able to perform these techniques correctly. I suggest weaning yourself off the control stick, it will significantly help your game.

Well when you get the chance you really should switch to X or Y. Y is supposed to be faster but I do fine with my X button, but I don't see how you can jump with the joystick.

If you can shorthop consistently with the joystick, then there's no need to change...

Honestly, it's all about what's comfortable. If you can perform jumps, short hops, and wavedashes with solid consistency, then there's no need to even worry about it.

If you're botching short hops, air dodging instead of wave dashing, and doing phantasms every time you try to SHL, then you may want to revisit the way you jump.

Personally, I use both the joystick and the X button. I'll use the joystick when jumping out of shines and X when wavedashing out of shines, short hopping, etc.

And I agree with you on one point... Jumping with the joystick makes double shining infinitely easier.

I haven't finished watching the videos but one thing I realized is that your dair's are off. You were executing them way too early on your FD match. I haven't watched the other two so maybe you corrected it.

EDIT - Yeah, a lot better :)
