My Falco--NEED ADVICE!

Hey, i've just begun recording some vids of my Falco. If anyone would like to watch these videos and give me tips that would be nice. This was @ a small tournament @ my friends house which i won.

Your falco has great combos. Well played.

My one advice to you would be defence. You seem to be going head on towards the marth. You shoudln't. Marths need to be handled delicately. You need to tech away from him.

learn how to multishine, like eggm does. dair>shine>shine when they sheild is not only cool looking but really pressuring. and instead of full jumping out of your shines how about waveshining then short hopping? i saw you do it like twice.

I only watched the first vid, so I will only comment on that one for now. You seemed to be approaching too directly this match. After a SHL at close range, you have plenty of options (grab, nair>shine, dair>shine, smash), so try to mix it up more. I saw a lot of missed techs that could've been punished if that Marth player was better. If you're still missing techs, then you should obviously be working on that. I'll comment more after I've seen more videos.
Oh, and that Marth was really strange. So many dairs!

btw yes, i've actually played Eggm @ a tournament last Saturday and got 4 stocked LOL. his falco is madd techy and he plays real smart. But yeah i've just started MultiShining today XD. thanks though!!

quick things I noticed in the first video.. right in the beginning, okay.. like one of the people said, fighting a marth.. you DON'T wanna mess up, or play bad. I noticed you kept full hopping, and dairing right into his shield, or bairing... BAD, if that marth knew what he was doing he could just shield grab you and CG you... =|

Alittle after that, you started laser camping a bit, I'd say just work on your lasering, work on rSHL.

I also saw you fsmashing alot... yeah, fsmash is really good.. but don't spam it.


I'd say " oh i'll edit" but, i'm not positive that i will.. so here's just common advice, practice your tech skill ;| with falco... he's one of them characters where.. if you mess up, that could cost you a stock :[

Well.. you did okay.. if i were u i would improve on edge hogging.. i saw u give up your space a couple times.. although u usually killed him right afterwards. even though the marth could have been much better you did pretty good.

Thanks again, after mastering multi shining, and shield pillaring, i can beat Marth's easily. I've had some matches against a pro-ameture player, he recommends that i should improvise on thinking better and then mix w/ tech skill. but anyway thanks.

I'd recommend watching some videos of pros and catching up to the metagame.
