Well, I've been playing Brawl online and I thought to myself, "Self, I think that I should stop playing on this infernal DLP! Either that or choose a main other than Lucas!"
Have any of you TRIED playing a game (Especially Brawl!) on a DLP TV? It's HELL!!! >.< Most gamers play on a CRT (No TV Lag). Maybe a LCD (Only a little Lag). But a DLP (Hellish lag!) has a lag time of, like, 3 minutes!!! <-- JK. But realistically, it has a lag time of over double what a LCD has... It's a really cool TV, but I think I should go back to an old crappy one. xD If I see an old CRT at a garage sale this spring, I think I'll be jumping on it!
And until then, I'm thinking about giving Lucas up as my main. Because online with my DLP, there's so much combined lag that it's too hard to use Lucas' ^B...

Any of you play on LCDs or (Oh please, no! -->) DLPs?

Try component cables.
In any case, good CRTs aren't that hard to find and they're dirt cheap too. Just make sure you use RGB Scart with the TV so the image is teh maximum smex.

@ Mithx - Nope, it's the TV... DLPs have to project the image, so they have to convert it to a format that they can use. So it ends up having a horrible lag time (Even IRL). IRL, everyone has the same disadvantage, but online my DLP vs. someone's CRT, is going to get me smoked! >.< Then on top of that, Lucas with any lag at all is VERY hard to play; and with double lag (From the TV and Online) he's almost impossible to play... =(

@ Teran17 - Thanks for the tips! ^_^
I have an older CRT that doesn't work... I wonder if I can repair it... ?_?

Memorize the control stick input for getting the fastest PKT2 possible so that you don't need visual aid. Other than that, Lucas is relatively easy to use in lag.

LOL!!! This is funny! My siblings got on my Wii today, and even they noticed the incredible lag on the DLP when we were playing Defend Your Castle! xD

(BTW, Defend Your Castle is a Wii-Ware game ($5) that's really addictively fun! ^o^ )

I'm getting the LCD back to my house or try to fix the CRT ASAP! =O
It's annoying as heck! xO
