Attention! I have been getting some rather hateful PMs regarding this thread (a few sugestions, but mostly hate mail). Apparently, some people don't understand the point of this thread. I am merely compling a list of observations on characters, stages and game modes based on videos and Japanese impressions. Please don't spam my inbox with PMs saying "ZOMFG HOW R U REVIEWING A GAME U HAVENT PLAYED U N00BZ0RZ!!11!!11!seventeen!1!!1 U R MR GAY SRSLY UR THRED IS TEH GHEY!1!!111 If you don't want to read it, don't, but if you're PMing me, give suggestions or GTFO. That is all.

Characters

-Mario
-Starter
-Works basically the same as Melee, buffed a bit
-Down B is now FLUDD. Does about 3% damage, just pushes people away.
-May push items, didn’t see, really.
-Still has Mario Tornado from 64 and Melee-I think it’s his Down A move
-Balanced, like 64 and Melee
-Final Smash: Mario Finale-Mario creates a huge stream of fire-Damage gets up to about 100%-Likely KO

-Donkey Kong
-Starter
-Same, maybe a bit worse than Melee
-Final Smash-Konga Beat-DK takes out bongos and creates a large barrier around him that damages foes-better than originally thought-better on small stages

-Link
-Starter
-Faster? More agile? Hard to tell without actually playing
-Most moves come out faster
-Gail Boomerang-Pulls items and characters towards Link
-Can charge up the Spin Attack-Ground only-Nerfed a bit
-Projectiles come out faster
-Bomb jumping in, harder to execute
-Way better than Melee- at least one tier higher, if not more
-Final Smash- Triforce Slash- Only hits one person, can hit multiple on last hit

-Samus
-Starter
-Jumps are better
-Bomb jumping in, harder to execute
-Up B is goes far higher
-Projectiles come out faster
-Final Smash-Zero Laser-Think Mario Finale, but with a big laser-100+ damage, turn into Zero Suit Samus

-Zero Suit Samus
-Starter (Samus)
-Much faster and light than Samus-Jumps higher
-You can pick up the pieces of Samus’s armor that fell off from her Final Smash
-Up B will shoot a whip out to grab a ledge- Maybe grabs opponents?
-You can hold the Z buton on the GC controller and the - Button on the Wiimote to start a match as ZSS.
-Final Smash-Armor flies onto her body-Does about 30%-Decent knockback-Changes back to Samus

-Kirby
-Starter
-Basically the same as the N64 version, rather than Melee
-Can suck up items and use their powers (i.e. suck up a Fire Flower and use Fire Breath)
-Final Smash-Cook Kirby-Sucks enemies into pot, boils for high damage-Possible star KO-Items come out

-Fox
-Starter
-May be nerfed a bit, though still powerful
-Final Smash-Landmaster Tank-Control a giant Landmaster Tank to crush foes-you can shoot beams-maybe better in Free-For-Alls

-Pikachu
-Starter
-Very similar to Melee, a bit more like 64
-Might be a better aerial fighter than Melee
-Final Smash-Volt Tackle-Pikachu curls up in a ball and streaks around the stage-Similar to Sonic-Can fire bolts of thunder in the attack-good for edge guarding?

-Marth
-Unlockable
-Similar to Melee
-Might play similarly to Roy from Melee-seems more powerful
-Up B goes a bit higher
-B doesn’t charge for very long

-Higher jump than Mario
-Still has Forward B move, does not misfire-can be charged indefinately
-Jump goes more horizontal than Melee
-Final Smash-Creates an aura around him where everything has a “negative” effect, like a picture-Trippy music plays, the people in the aura have a sheild-break effect, and damage slowly rises-Kinda bad on large arenas, but could be great on a small stage

-Diddy Kong
-Starter
-Quick, nimble, good jumps
-Makes monkey noises
-Quick, weak moves
-Easy to combo, but not easy to KO
-Final Smash-Rocket Barrel Barrage-Diddy gets his jetpack on and unleashes armageddon with a machine gun blast of peanuts-good in free for alls-weaker in 1-on-1s.

-DeDeDe

Hehe, thanks.

Unfortunitally, I can't get any of the things you want like the number of missions and such (I do however think that there is at least 40. The last time I heard, Jigglypuff is unlocked on that mission). However, I decided to compile a short list of pokemon that come out from pokeballs. My referance is this Youtube video

Piplup
Munchlax
Bonsly
Weavile
Manaphy
Torchic
Chikorita
Metagross
Gardevoir
Latias
Latios
Groundon
Kyogre
Deoxys (attack form)
Jirachi
Meowth
Electrode
Goldeen
Staryu
Snorlax
Gulpin
Togepi
Bellosom
Wobbuffet
Moltres
Entei
Suicune
Ho-oh
Lugia
Mew
Celebi

Again, It is unlikely, but there may be unlockable pokemon, so there is a possiblity this is an incomplete list.

Okay. Thought I might point out some minor errors in the whole brawl impressions thing you did
-Zero Suit Samus

-Much faster and light than Samus-Jumps higher
-You can pick up the pieces of Samus’s armor that fell off from her Final Smash
-Up B will shoot a whip out to grab a ledge- Maybe grabs opponents?
-Final Smash-Armor flies onto her body-Does very little damage-only becomes Samus again

-Mr. Game and Watch
-Unlockable
-Same as Melee-Few to no changes Actually, His Up-B attack now deploies a parachute a parachute, allowing for greater recovery
-Final Smash-Turns into large, stage size octopus and body slams the stage-best on flat stages

-Falco
-Unlockable
-Similar to Melee-Hard to tell, few videos
-he now throughs his shine
-New Cross slashing attack
-Final Smash-See Fox

-
-Ganondorf
-Unlockable
-Pretty powerful, still kinda slow
-Doesn’t use his sword from what I can tell-Still a CF clone Yes he is a captain falcon clone stil. They've just thrown in new animations to make him more original?
-Has some different B move
-His Up B is a spinning uppercut-Better than original His Up B is the exact same one he had in melee. Here
-Still similar to CF, clone-ish
-Final Smash-Dark Beast Ganon-Ganon lunges forward-Likely 1 hit KO

-Lucario
-Unlockable
-May be similar to Mewtwo-uses energy attacks-A bit early to tell
-B move is an energy ball It's actually called "Aura Sphere"
-Average jump
-Possibly light-Floatier than others?
-Powerful-able to KO an 18% Pit with an Up-Tilt
-Final Smash-Lucario shoots a giant beam at foes-50+ damage-Usually a KO

-R.O.B.
-Unlockable
-Hovers instead of jumping
-Uses lasers and missiles
-Light, floaty
-Easy to KO?
-Final Smash-Huge laser beam? No acvtually, his final smash is an awfully small lazor beam. Can edge guard i guess. See This link

-Wolf
-Unlockable
-Few to no videos of gameplay-last character to be unlocked?
-Likely a Fox clone He actually has a few distinct differences. His Up B implements a jetpack and he has a rather powerful green cannon as his B Neutral.
-Final Smash: See Fox

-Jigglypuff
-Unlockable
-Likely similar to Melee-Few to no videos
-Final Smash-Jigglypuff becomes gigantic. see this video

-The Summit
-Large mountain

In your mind!
Facts are that Wolf is not a Clone (The videos say it all) Falco is in the game as a none clone as well (He has been luigified) If you want information on the characters just see their specific sections in the Character Forum...

a lot of the char impressions are just plain wrong (mario same as melee/64? sheik still broken? wolf a luigified clone!?), and i haven't even played the game yet but have looked into each char enough to know

i don't think ANYONE who hasn't played the game yet should post impressions, but this post is definately helpful if organized better. I know a lot of char details and i'll help if you want me too, but I think you should get people who've played the game before, or better yet look at each characters info/impressions page in Brawl Char Discussion.

i'll help if you want me to

I'm almost sure that Ganondorf's Over-B is a bit different now. In the training mode video, it seemed like it grabbed Popo instead of punching him.

i don't think ANYONE who hasn't played the game yet should post impressions, but this post is definately helpful if organized better. I know a lot of char details and i'll help if you want me too, but I think you should get people who've played the game before, or better yet look at each characters info/impressions page in Brawl Char Discussion.

i'll help if you want me to
Any help would be appreciated. :)

Shouldn't you play the game first before you say your impressions?
The point of the thread is impressions based on research of videos and known info, not impressions of my personal experience. ;)

I'm almost sure that Ganondorf's Over-B is a bit different now. In the training mode video, it seemed like it grabbed Popo instead of punching him.
Thanks. I'll look into that.

R.O.B. has 2 regular jumps but his upb is what makes him hover. he can use his upb for a total of about 5 seconds before he touches the ground. so he can use his jumps, use two seconds of his upb, do an aerial, and resume his upb for a few more seconds.

I must know!!
Have you seen a King K. Rool assist trophy!?

If so, then please tell me all about it, thanks!

...oh please say yes...
I haven't really been looking at ATs, but I don't think so.

I just saw a new stage moments ago(in a streamed video), I looked at the list but didn't check it again
Its from Classic DK, all I saw in the fight was the second part with all the pink platforms, no idea about the first stage and last stage
took a screen shot but it gets all messed up and just shows the video in paint when I paste it :\
can anyone tell me how to take a screen shot of something in a video without it messing all up like that?

k if my name is added to the credits :p, here is the rundown of things you need to add and/or need to correct that are wrong:

I'll mark supermove holders with !!!
When I'm not sure about something I put a star next to it, when i'm not sure about an entire character, I put a star next to him/her
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mario:
-Powerful arials
-Said to be an overall good character, improved from melee

Link:
-Range of sword moves are buffed
-Spin attack nerfed on ground, less range and does less damage unless charged
-Spin attack acts as a better recovery in air: flys farther and snaps to the edge- stopping any edgehogging.
-Ground smashes come out faster, Upsmash's 1st 2 hits are now stickied.
-Bow now charges multiple times faster
-Bombs have much more knockback

Samus:
-All projectiles move faster but are weaker
-Bomb jumping is possible but harder to execute
-no landing lag after dair
-*heard A attacks are stronger
-plays differently than from melee

Pikachu:
-Down B is much fast than melee
-*downsmash is buffed

!!!Marth:
-attacks are NOT more powerful than in melee
-Range is nerfed
-Side b comes out MUCH faster on ground, but can only be used once (with an effect)in the air, thus supernerfing his recovery
-tipper still as deadly as in melee
-Faster because there is less lag inbetween moves
!!!Fsmash tipped is powerful enough to be a supermove
(worried that this character is overpowered, him and falcon are the only chars with super moves that don't need them)

Luigi:
-Luigi Cyclone is his DownB and rising tornado is easier to execute
-Side B no longer misfires, though it can be held in indefinately after charged and doesn't fire automatically when fully charged like in melee
-Jump has more horizontal distance , buffing recovery
-*Arial game seems the same as in melee (good) but not improved

Diddy:
-UpB offers good recovery

!!!Zelda:
-Nearly every aspect buffed
-Medium run speed (buff)
!!!Bair/Fair is superbuffed, can now kill at low %s though slightly harder to land
-Uair buffed to have more knockback
-Almost all moves come out faster, most sweetspot oriented moves have larger sweetspots
-Din's fire has a much larger sweetspot
-Naryu's love executes faster

Sheik:
-Moves and runspeed are still fast compared to other characters
-fair has been supernerfed, much less knockback
-Great comboability, but very weak knockback, the only move with relatively strong knockback bieng her Upair

Falco:
-luigified = not a clone
-*B moves have different animations (not sure didn't see all the b moves)
- you're right down b is now completely different than fox's

!!!Ivysaur:
!!!Upsmash has amazing knockback

!!!Ike:
!!!Fsmash is a supermove, according to famitsu-- kills mario in the middle of FinalDest at around 45% dmg, uncharged

Snake*:
-lol "superbadass" you got that right

Peach*:
-Dsmash has been duly nerfed
-Vegetables buffed
*several other aspects of her buffed, not sure which ones though

Ganondorf(unsure whether or not he has a super move yet):
-Not a clone, luigified
-Up B makes him fly higher than Cfalcons UpB and also has a jab at the end of it
-Arials are generally nerfed slightly
-Has completely different animations than Falcon
-B neutral comes out faster

!!!Dedede
!!!Fsmash is a supermove, that is only slightly weaker than Ikje's Fsmash

Lucario*:
-Many attacks are the same as mewtwo's except with different properties
-Has several attacks that are NOT similar to mewtwo's

Sonic:
-Attacks are normal powered but have a fair amount of startup lag

Bowser:
-Aeons better than melee, which isn't that hard to do since he sucked in melee
-Much larger
-Moves are generally faster

Toon Link:
-Boomerang does not have gale property and generally slower, dmg unknown
- most true clone of the 5 clone-like characters, the rest are either luigified or one (wolf) is a completely new character

!!!Captain Falcon:
-Recovery NOT improved
-Generally slower overall than in melee
!!!knee counts as super move

Lucas:
-His neutral b is much faster than ness' melee neutral b
-recovery is easier to execute than ness' melee up b

Wolf:
-Not a luigified fox, a completey different character
-unique to fox in almost every way other than similar b move PURPOSES (for instance down b is a reflector, side b is a teleportation)and FS, which is the same with a few differences
-Fsmash seems to cause wolf to jump forward
*Fast character, mabye slightly slower and stronger than fox?
-You can control what direction Side b moves you, but it has shorter range than fox's side b
*not sure what other Bmoves do but they are completely different than fox's

Donkey Kong:
-largely similar to his melee counterpart
-Side B now stuns longer and *cannot be escaped?

Chars I'm worried that may be too weak: Donkey Kong, Samus, Bowser

Chars I'm worried that may be too strong: Marth, Cfalcon, Mario (said to be strongest char of E4all), Wolf (I actually don't know too much about him lol, but he looked kick@ss in his gameplay videos)

in Brawlcentral.com they posted the starting characters top 3 killing moves' knockback stats, look through thenews, it was posted i don't know mabye 2 weeks back? anyway you should put in your post its very helpful info. It also posted all the chars wieghts, movespeed, and ability to do special actions (such as wall jump)

Added an Assist Trophy list and the number of Events. I used the Japanese names for the ATs (I got the list from the disk rip), so they might be unfamiliar. Just tell me the English names and I'll change them.
