My 3ds charger isn't Pikachu, I need help?

My 3Ds charger is acting up, sometimes it charges and sometimes it makes a whining noise. I think there is a short in the cable.
How do I get a new 3Ds charger? What are the options?

Well, ordering it from Amazon or Nintendo are two basic options. GameStop has them online too, so I imagine you could find one in-stores there if ordering isn't an option. Best Buy has some off-brand ones as well, if you're okay with going for some non-official ones (though when it comes to replacing an important piece like this, I'd avoid that if possible, particularly since the official Nintendo options are not so expensive that shopping around is necessary for a good deal).

I've never had to replace my charger but that's where I'd start.
