It seems as if most people are focused on 1v1, and in four person FFA I'm well aware you can't have specific strategies depending on which characters you are playing because there are so many combinations. Are there, though, specific strategies you use regardless of who you are playing when it's a four person FFA?

I'm sure throwing lots of eggs is a good start, egg rolling too, but sometimes I get stuck between two people and at that point you're screwed cause if they want they can practically pass you back and forth. What then is the overall strategy (which does not necessarily need to include specific attacks)?

In multiplayer, I tend to use the Egg Throw, Egg Roll, and Pound more gratuitously than I do in 1v1. Since the attention isn't always focused on you, a few eggs thrown in the mix can give easy, free damage and can persuade the localized 1v1 match in your (future) favor. You choose (essentially) who to interrupt. Egg Rolls are usually conducted as a single sweep and from close range, as to prevent being juggled between opponents. The Pound is great for raining down on others who aren't necessarily paying attention to you, and especially for coming down from the top of the screen onto someone who did not hit you there and doesn't expect as much.

Also, since I love to try to spike (I'm not THAT great at it), I sometimes go after others trying to follow yet a third character off the edge. The guarder is usually placed at a location closer to the horizontal level of the stage, which makes for an easier spike (Dair + Footstool, at least).

I dislike multiplayer matches, there's always an Ike with an f-smash in the worst possible place >.<

lol other than that I agree with biohazard, more specials, less grabs, basically a more careful game.

In multiplayer I generally egg roll a lot. I also just tend to get out of the way more than actual fighting. Let the other guys do the work then come in and steal the KO, its gay, but it works :)
