In all honesty, i think Ryu is gonna have some trouble against Link. Hadouken is completely nullified by bombs alone, we out prioritize Tatsu with sword disjoints and Focus Attack will be extremely limited here due to projectile abuse and Zair. It's when Ryu gets in where we are basically hopeless due to normals that combo into Shoryuken (this move is bonkers), but in order to that he has to get past projectiles and disjoints that screw him up bad, especially since Ryu has short range in many of his moves. Plus, our grab will prove troublesome for his Focus Attack since it has plenty of range and can grab him out of it and give us a free combo/kill set up.

On a side note, I wanted to make a quick announcement about the MU threads.
MU threads are meant for tournament level discussion, and the one who makes the thread is expected to actually have something to contribute throughout based on experience, and experience won't be possible until you've played the matchup in an offline situation for a decent amount of time. I'm sure that many of us would greatly appreciate it if everyone kept this in mind. Thank you.

Honestly, it's way to early to make a MU thread for Ryu, due to that fact that he's brand new. When Ryu's metagame developes, then we can talk, but right now we have basically zero knowledge of Ryu's capabilities. Also keep in mind that Foxy said that we can only contribute on MU threads based on experiences/knowledge of tournament level play, which is basically impossible at the moment because there haven't been any high level Ryu play yet.
