Mp2 Help!!!

Well, I couldn't find anywhere else to go for help, so I came here. Let me start off by just saying that I am a noob. I admit it. I need help from anyone who has played Metroid prime 2.

Okay, here's the situation. I had just started going through the Sanctuary Fortress until I went through the Portal at the end of the Hall of Combat Mastery. After going through the portal, I got on the elevator in the dark world to get up to the Hive Dynamo Works. I continued through there, unlocked the portal, deactivated the first ring of the dynamo, and found the save station. When I went back through to get to the Hall of Combat Mastery, I had a duh moment when I found that the only way to get back to the elevator was to use the Spider Ball.

I know. It sucks. Now I'm stuck in an endless loop. I have the Dark Visor, but I have neither the Echo Visor nor the Spider Ball. Any help would be appreciated, but if the only way to take care of this problem is to start the game over again, I completely understand.

I am using the Wii version.

You're in the light world and you just stopped the movement of one of the gyro's rings, right? Head back to that gyro room and find a window without a pane of glass. Jump through it onto the ring of the gyro, and follow it around to a morph ball hole. You can probably figure it out yourself from there. I used a guide lololol. But I have played the game.

Thanks, I'll try that. And just for future reference, you have to go through the door in the dark world that's right next to the portal, right?

I am almost positive that you have access to the Sanctuary temple at this point. IIRC, you go to the temple, then take the translator door in the temple "lobby" i guess, then you end up in the actual "works" with the spider gaurdian.

I tried going to the temple and got stuck after recieving the translator. That other door you go through to the left from where you enter through temple access takes you to a morph ball cannon that can't be activated from there because the controls are on the other side of the pit. Plus, I can't get back to temple access without having the Spiderball before hand to boost jump to the door.

Are you sure you can't access the controls? I'm looking at the map, and the Spider Guardian should be behind the door which is in next to where you think the controls are, but you access the Spider Guardian by crossing the room you're in (it has 6 floating platforms, right?). Try looking around on the sides of the platforms (i.e. go to a lower platform and look on the sides of the higher one) because I remember having to scan something there, and it was pretty small. I'd check the platform that has the cannon first, because that's probably where it is.

You're making me want to play it again.

I just installed an ATI AIW 7500 and I was having the same problem. The Multimedia Center TV only seems to capture mpeg-2 in mp2 format, and that file type will not work with Adobe Premier. However, if you use the ULEAD program that comes with the AIW, you can capture in several different formats, some of which, can then be used to edit in Premier. Then again, I'm a newbie to VC (about 24 hours into it now)....so you may already know this, and I may be looking like an idiot.
