MORE STARTERS TO COME/ metal box returning

This is a link to the page on the Dojo where they announce classic mode. Notice it says 1 is Zelda, 3 is Pokemon? what is 2? It may just be based on a character we haven't seen yet and if its in the begining of classic that would have to be a starter. I know I'm reading alot in to this but bare with me....

Also if there's goign to be metal matches there pretty much has to be metal boxes....

We've all been pretty sure about the Metal Box, and there's a LOT of franchises with starters or likely starters to take up that 2nd stage slot.

I sort of see what you're saying... but who knows? Something that did spring to mind though is:

On the Giant Metaknight screenshot, notice how its clearly a Kirby themed thing, where you team up with the Kirby cast against a random kirby cast member? Well... what about things like Ice Climbers with only one representative?

Only thing I can think of is grouping retro characters together? which would be Ice Climbers, Mr.Game&Watch and...?

It's just following the tradition of Smash 64. It doesn't mean the characters there haven't been revealed, he just arbitrarily chose 1 and 3 to mention.

The way the stage set up is going on in Classic Mode is very similar to Super Smash Bros. 64.

Though we get a twist, random characters per a franchise level. Possibly a random stage as well?
