Charismatic Maknae~
I think everyone knows what this means. Playing through an entire Pokemon game (the minimum of defeating the Elite 4 and becoming the Champion) with an entire team made of the same type. This includes dual-types, so something like Gallade and Infernape work on a Mono-Fighting team, as they both share the Fighting-type. Exceptions are HM slaves (which you don't use for battle anyways) and Pokemon you can't get for the desired type at the start of the game (i.e. using Charmander until you can catch Pikachu in LeafGreen for a Mono-Electric run).
I have completed 4 mono-type runs and am currently working on another.
Mono-Poison run in FireRed: Venusaur, Crobat, Tentacruel, Nidoking, Haunter
Mono-Water run in Ruby: Swampert, Lanturn, Gyarados, Pelipper, Wailord, Sharpedo
Mono-Grass run in Ruby: Sceptile, Tropius, Vileplume, Shiftry, Breloom
Mono-Flying run in FireRed: Charizard, Pidgeot, Zapdos, Butterfree, Aerodactyl
Currently working: Mono-Fighting run in Ruby: Blaziken, Machoke, Hariyama, Meditite
I think doing Mono-Type runs give a change of pace to playing Pokemon, and some can be downright challeneging.
