Ok, look at these pics.

On the first pic, one of the Modea's is holding a boomerang, one is holding Pit's sword. Or at least it looks VERY much like this items.

On the second pic, Modea is seen copying Samus's fighting style. That must mean they are the new fighting polygons or something similar, they copy fighting styles to beat their opponents, therefore it's not a boss, it's a minion with unique powers, nothing more. Am I right?

Right behind you with a knife.
Possible. The first picture is suspect though, as the one being knocked around seems to have something in his hand, but it's very hard to tell what. The other one actually seems to be holding a cane.

If they did have other people's movesets, then I wonder what it would be like for Bowser...

Also, it may be possible that they all have one moveset, but all the moves are taken from other characters.

In your house!
It seems as if these are Master Hand's new foot soldiers. The wireframes might still be in Classic Mode's return, as Master Hand's Elite Guard depending on how this Adventure Mode plays out.

I think it's sort of blatantly obvious that in the first picture they have different movesets because there's more than one of them. But in the second one, it looks to be a miniboss what with that giant hunk of metal shooting at Samus and the other guy is charging at the same time as Samus.

I think it'd be interesting if in the second picture the enemy actually COPIES what you do, like a mirror. It'd be tough to fight a mirror, wouldn't it? That's why you can see them both charging. Not only does it copy your moveset, but it mirrors what you do. However, this contradicts the first picture.

In all honesty, I think the second picture is a miniboss set up to be like I described.

Maybe as you progress they gain more moves or abilities. An idea I had was that maybe later multiple modeas could connect together to form a new enemy with each individual modea having someone elses moveset

for example two join together one has bowsers flame breath the other samuses arm cannon ability

When i saw them they looked like polygons to me too! Especially that second pic since it looks like it is copying samus. My question is though, will there be a way to distinguish who they are copying?

I still call Modea, "That Guy"

Other than that, maybe some copy character moves. Or its just a random Samus one that dropped which now has B attacks.

There's certainly going to be more single player modes such as classic, all-star, event mode, and events like the home run contest. Speaking of that, these enemies look like the sandbag out for revenge.

can we just all agree to call them "modeas" for the time being? I mean we need to give them a name until the actual name is announced.

The second pic REALLY reminds me of SSB64's Race to the Finish. That being said, anyone else agree with me?

You know what? I'll allow you guys to use Modea to define the monsters, and I can use BACON as a substitute for Final Smash.

No, call them its then. At least give them a name that they have a Chance of keeping. Cuz we're all well aware that modea is mode a aka subspace emissary

No Internet?!?
Just call them whatever you want guys!

Back to the topic:

I think that they do copy your attacks, but some have other people's attacks. Like for example:

(One) Modea Attacks:

Links Boomerang
Bowsers Fire Breath
Marios Third Jump
Pikachus Thunder

(It doesn't just have to be any pattern, one Modea could consist of just B attacks)

Also, they attack you a certain/random times during Adventure mode, especially if you stay in one area for to long. At first they are simple and easy to defeat, but if you take to long fighting them, they start getting stronger and copy your attacks. Until finally it's like Cruel Melee.

If the modeas are playable, they would probably have a random character's moveset, like Mokujin from Tekken, or Charade from Soul Calibur.

I wish in Dark Story Mode you have a core Mr Purple (Modea is so ********). And its like Emerel in Sonic Battle for those who have played the game

These enemies look really weird, but I'll judge them when I play the game.

BTW, I don't think "modea" is their name. I think it means "Mode A", nothing more.

It does mean Mode A and nothing more, Modea is just their nickname for now. Please stop saying this people.

BACON:

Brilliantly Awesome Crazy Over-powered Nuclear-attack.

So, as long as Modea is used for these guys' nicks, I'll use BACON as a substitute for Final Smash.

I refuse to call a Final Smash a "BACON".

Partially because we actually know that it's called a Final Smash, and partially because it's stupid.

I may resort to "Modea" just because we don't know what they're actually called, and it's a lot easier than typing "those things from the new trailer that come out of the purple smokey stuff"
