Those ****ty ones you see in those annoying ads spread all across the internet? Why? There are better games to play (NOT MMO's) than hitting TAB over and over again killing 1,000,000 cows to level up.

Just kidding. :]

Try Flyff. It's the only other game that's free that I've heard of.

Exactly. The "private" server MMOs (I was on WoWscape for like a day) tend to basically cheat by increasing how fast you level and how much drops in order to get people to stay.

If you aren't paying for it, it probably sucks.

Meh. There are some good free MMO's, but as he said no MapleStory. But the guys who made MapleStory have another game that's in 3-D and tries to be like a real MMO.

It's called Mabinogi. I don't play it because I hate point and click MMO's, but you might like it.

Oh, and if you don't mind paying 20 bucks, Guild Wars is free after you buy the game. No monthly subscription fees.

Vote runescape!!!!! The graphics are insanely good and the pvp action pwns!

Seriously though, you'll have to pay if you want a good one, if you have to pick a free one, see darkslash's post. (Or maybe play a trial of a good one? Don't know of any though, I bet they exist somewhere.)

i played rakion. it is fun but tedious to level up.
cronous is pretty good too. it is kinda like diablo, but when you get up around lvl 83 which is where i was it takes about two hours for 10% exp unless you spend money, and when you are around lvl 90 it is pretty much impossible to train alone because you will die w/out a buffer/valk. the max level is weird. when you get to 115 you can be reborn at lvl 1 or wait till 125 which is better. then when you get back up to lvl 60 you can learn the master skills which demolish everything. also when you are reborn you have an aura glowing around you constantly
