Mii's "I was wrong" thread

I hate to be that guy, but...

Honestly, I was wrong. I thought that if they made it in, they'd actually be compelling and quell my distaste in the idea of them. I thought, hey, maybe they'll get a wacky Tomodachi-based moveset.

But alas, I was wrong. The only version that somewhat interests me is the Gunner, but even that's ruined by the fact that these guys took up three characters' worth of development time, or the fact that the Mii Swordfighter is, in my opinion, the biggest slap in the face to Chrom and Lucina fans (Lucina got in as a clone, and Chrom was deemed unoriginal, while the Swordfighter then gets a completely unique sword moveset that would honestly fit Chrom well in a lot of ways.)

But yeah, just my opinion on them. But alas, all I can say is...I was wrong.

I was wrong about that I thought Miis were just going to be Soul Calibur-esque copies of pre-existing move sets. It'd be funny to see scrawny little guys imitating Bowser, but alas, it's not to be.

At least we have Chuck Norris.

I would argue that the Mii Swordfighter isn't. That was the entire point. But I'm not gonna argue this now.

I tend to agree with this. I like the Miis okay, but I really wish that they'd just taken one slot. Based on Pilotwings, Wii Sports, Tomodachi, etc. Combine several different games features into one character like Mega Man's is.

But... sigh. What could have been pretty glorious movesets for new characters is kind of wasted on them.

Swordfighter could have been Chrom, I guess. Or a non clone Lucina. But... Why not slow it down a bit, give it a dark & magical flair and give it to Ganondorf so he can be original? Bring in Black Shadow to take his old moveset. Everybody's happy. Or, hell, a Golurk wielding a Honedge. Something that would make sense in some way.

Brawler could have been something too. Not sure what, but... Eh, this one probably could have just been Mii.

Gunner, oh man. Add paint gimmick, boom. Inkling from Splatoon. Or, I guess, Sylux from Metroid. The moveset feels almost-Samus-ish. Not the same, not a clone at all, but there are flavors there for sure. Like Ike and Marth have. So it'd fit..
