mid set adaptations and playstyles

I realized iam terrible at picking up on opponents habits and have a some what rough time adjusting mid match, any tips?

No, seriously. If you can find patterns, like which way they always dashdance initially, then you can find a way to punish. Looking for patterns is the best way to adapt.

I know most players focus on their character's part of the screen, but if you can glance over to your opponent to see what he's doing in the neutral, and can pick up a few things, it can help immensely.

Anything, like if he / she approaches with the same move, or does dashdance forward / wavedash back, etc, and anything that you can pick on that you can punish OOS.

When you lose a stock, wait on the platform to pick up on their movement habits.

I have the same problem myself often. It's what often leads to my downfall in competitive matches. My tech skill is totally fine, but my situational awareness is bad (Reading, picking up on bad habits, punishes, etc)
