Metroid Ideas

I'm am big Metroid fan, and I thought it would be cool to play as a metriod in SSBB.

Before you say anything, I don't, strictly speaking, want metroid, i just fancy the idea. So instead of arguing about whether or not metroid should be incuded, I'd just like to think about is moveset, possible stage, (backround music????) etc.

Here's what i've got-

Metroid - standard moves

A-the metroid does a sort of shove doing minimal damage but being faster than the other moves. (about 2-3 % damage)

Strong Side A - the metroid twirls around in a sort of quazi tackle doing about 11% damage

Strong Down A -the metroid snaps at an opponents feet, biting them if it hits (about 16% damage, this move is quite slow but leaves the opponent open for succesive attacks i.e. smashes))

Strong Up A - the metroid flips and grazes its opponent with its longer horn/feet/things. (about 12% damage)

Dash A- the metroid tackles the opponent with its head doing about 13% damage.

Smash Side A - the metroid lunges full body at its opponent doing about 17% damage.

Smash Down A - the metroid twirls around (similar to peaches down smash in SSBM) doing about 16% damage.

Smash Up A - the metroid lunges in an upward motion doing about 15% damage.

Metroid - Special Moves

B - the metroid hisses and paralyzes enemies with fear (similar to Jigglypuff's Sing move in SSBM) no damage.

Strong Side B- the metroid bites sideways, and drains 20% energy out of and opponent and restores 20% energy to itself, then tosses the opponent aside, doing about 6 % damage.

Smash Side B - the metroid charges sideways, biting the first opponent in its path then sucking 20% damage from them and restoring 20% to its own health. it then tosses the opponent aside, doing about 12% damage.

Smash/Strong Down B - the metroid plunges to the earth, biting the first unfortunate player in its path. the Metroid grabs, and can carry the opponent via the Control Stick while draining energy. the Metroid automatically drops then opponent when it has sucked 10% damage.

Smash/ Strong Up B - the metroid release energy stored within its body to turn itself into a living missile, doing 15% damage on impact. (this is definatly more of a recovery move)

Other notes - while grabbing, the A button will make the metroid attack, doing about 6% damage with a bite. Throws will involve a small toss, in the case of the up throw, spitting out the opponent upwards, and in the case of down, scrathing up the opponent a good bit.

wow.......Im a metroid fan, but......a metroid in Brawl?
That's just crazy, no offense
Everybody who wold use it would just keep using its drain moves.... not to mention that, and the spinning moves are all it can do....Metroids are very.................limited

Just a thought, but whatver, if you want it in, then you want it in..

For your moveset...well, good job, but since a metroid is limited, its moves are limited, so what you made is what it can do!

....not that I'm against having a metroid in Brawl.

I just don't see it being possible....

Caael is right, you just need multiple jumps, oh, and it would float higher then Mewtwo does.

But if you took the time to make a moveset then well, good for you

I hope you understand that it is practically impossible.....although.....

He could just be a generic enemy while in Adventure mode.....that would be cool, and maye somehow he could show up in regular battles

thanks, guys. yeah, i know metroid won't make it, but if he becomes an adventure mode enemy that would be awesome.... Anyways, thanks for the support I'll try and work on characters that have a hope from now on.

XD, okay, your welcome

Maybe you should post the metroid idea on my thread......no one has post there yet.....
or Dark Samus, or whatever

It is a Samus Thread, but, don't bother if you don't want to

I am pretty sure that he'll be an enemy in Adventure, I mean, why wouldn't he, if he isn't then I'll be dissapointed. Just like the fact that Koopa Turtles Are In Adventure in Melee, but not the same way, I hate how they are in. I wish that you had to jump on them instead, but you can just hit them. And when you slay a redead or like-like it should like die, not bounce around the room, I hate how they did that.

Nice that you thought of a moveset, but Side B is broken, unless there's a lot of startup time.

I'd prefer a Metroid as an AT, and a great one at that.

Meh, it'd probably have to be offset by.... i don't know..... the metroid gets drunk off energy??? i suppose if the metroid missed it would keep on going off screen or would take damage trying to suck energy out of a wall....

I say that Metroids would make frighteningly good assist trophies. Like, it appears and latches on to fighters, draining health and restricting movement, though enough damage would knock it off.

okaaaaaaaaaay.... yet another person who sees "metroid ideas" and assumes I'm....

A) not joking about the character part

B) not already decided on metroid as an AT or subspace enemy.

Plus, metroid (the game) is horribly underrepresented and could do with both Ridley and Dark Samus

People (like me) want Dark Samus because Dark Samus is cool, hard, the main villain from Echoes, and more recent. And don't even say "Dark Samus would be a clone". Dark Samus is much different, to say the least.

Now, back to the metroids....

What if in subspace a metroid bit you, and you had to wait there, taking damage until an enemy or an allie (AI) hit you enough to nock the metroid off. Chances are you'd get KO'd.
Annoying, huh?
