METAL MARIO!!!
Series: Super Mario
First Appearance: Super Mario 64
Latest appearance: Mario Tennis Open
INTRODUCTION
Metal Mario is a powered up form of Mario that first appeared in the game Super Mario 64. Metal Mario is tougher, stronger, and heavier, and has a "under water" like voice. This form is acquired by picking up the Metal Cap from green ! Blocks or Metal Boxes.
A Metal Mario character appeared in the original Super Smash Bros. as a boss. This was the first time he appeared presumably as a separate entity until Mario Kart 7. The sequel, Super Smash Bros. Melee also featured this permanently metal plumber as well as a separate Luigi character as bosses. In Classic Mode of both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a character in metal form will always be one of the selected challengers.
In Super Smash Bros., Metal Mario is a mid-boss encountered before the game's final boss. Like the Fighting Polygons, he has his own stage. He is far less powerful, and is susceptible to much more damage than in Super Mario 64. Nevertheless, he is a much more durable character than the regular Mario. Heavier and more resistant to knockback in general than any other character in the game, he's very difficult to beat. In fact, only when Metal Mario's damage exceeds 180% can he be knocked down.
Appearing as a Special Character in Rosters
Though not traditional and rather rare, Metal Mario has appeared as a special character in rosters as a reward for achieving something great in the game.Metal Mario is an unlockable playable character in Mario Golf for the Nintendo 64. He boasts the strongest drives from his set of clubs and is usually the last character to be unlocked by collecting ALL 180 Birdie Badges.
In Dr. Mario 64., Metal Mario can be unlocked as a playable character by beating the entire Story Mode with Wario without losing once.
Metal Mario's long awaited return happens as an unlock able playable character in the Nintendo 3DS title Mario Kart 7 and is unlocked by winning the 150cc Special Cup. He is a Heavy class character, with an advantage bonus of weight and some speed.
Metal Mario returns in Mario Tennis Open as a QR Downloadable Character. His type in this game is Power, and his voice is a warbled variation of Mario's voice. He is the final QR Downloadable Character. He is also the only QR Downloadable character that is not a Yoshi. He is the strongest character in the game with the fastest serves.
Mario has so many power ups, so having Metal Mario as a power up would be quite an awesome addition to people who are a fan of it. Being able to be Metal Mario full time instead of a power up like people wish to do in the original Smash 64. He would be unlocked maybe by completing Classic Mode with all other characters.
In conclusion a neat idea, most definitely not gonna happen, but if you like Metal Mario support him anyway.
