Credit goes wherever credit is due, i know im not the first to figure this out.


This list represents the ONLY characters whom Meta can grab at the ledge AFTER the invincibility frames go out. Pay attention to the way i grab Meta, Ness, Lucas, those must be timed correctly due to their 'hang on the ledge' animation. Their heads 'peak' above the stage, this is the only time when Meta can grab them. Watch the video closely and PAY ATTENTION to that carefully.

Mainly used Fthrow,Dthrow,Uthrow's into combos to see what i could come up with. Uthrow,jab,dair works nicely. Fthrow,Dair,Footstool is also good. Dthrow or Fthrow,fair,fair does nicely too. I tried working in some Nair but with my test subject being a rag doll i dont think i could of done much with it. But depending on your opponents percent and weight, you could possibly Dthrow into a Nair,dair if they're still in close proximity. I dont really get on Meta that much, so as for what you guys do with it, its up to you. Play with the idea and see what you can come up with for comboing at the ledge.

Disclaimer: Olimar's Ledge Grab Release infinite on MetaKnight only applies if the person is idle. This makes it not a true infinite because it requires your opponent to not be present at the match. In a real match the infinite will never ever take place due to the mechanics of how it works -- Plus it is escapable.

The reason I'm bringing Mario's and Olimar's ledge grabbing to your attention, Metaknight mains, is because i want to show you that Meta is at risk for getting grabbed off the ledge. This is due to his bald head and part of his face breaching above the ledge during his "hang on the ledge" animation. This is something you should be careful about. While personally, i think the safetest guy to grab Meta off the ledge is Olimar, a Meta user needs to think wisely about his options while hanging on the ledge; Drop down? Jump up? Get up attack? Roll get up ontop platform? Shuttle loop is a ok option, but alot of players will generally see that coming.

I still need to get around to testing the other characters; mainly Jiggs, Pkmn Trainer, Luigi, Pika, Ness. I've got Kirby and Lucas done already.
