i recently posted this message in a different thread, but i think if i do this it will be seen by more people.

today on wifi, as i was owning the same Ike user over and over...
i came across a great combo move.
a gamecube controller makes this very simple.

roll your finger from the y button onto the a button very quicly while tilting the control stick in the direction MK is facing. you should do a short hop and follow it up immedeately with the fair, making a quick combo great for dealing out damage and combo counting.

try it out, it works great if you do it right.

yes, but if you just roll your finger off the y button it works a lot better.

You mean do it faster? lol Its just short hopping attacks, ur suppose to try and do em as fast as u can. But nice on figuring it out urself i guess lol

A SH fair works no better than ftilt+ Fair combo off edge till they die.

im not using it for a finishing move, im using it to rack up damage and then finish.

I personally prefer to use the X button for jumping. Seems more conveniently placed for me than the y button.

Agreed i dont know why it just feels closer to the A button

i think u can use either x or y i just use y its what ive always done
