This reminds me of about a month ago where I'd make a horrible joke in every post, so then 50% of SWFers would hate me.

I don't mind the third-person, but when members constantly complain about it, Tera still posts using that perspective. If Tera is trying to make other people dislike her, she's doing a pretty **** good job of it.

I dunno, I half-agree.

I don't think the value of the post is any lessened by using third person, and I don't care if someone makes up a small lie to stand out if the content of the post is good.

For example, Crimson King often misspells a word or two, for no reason other than being lazy (another character trait), and I don't think his post quality is lessened one bit by that.

Leave the girl alone...if she wants to talk in third person, let her. If something so trivial as that provkes you all to the point of hating her, then wow. I really could care less how she talks as long as she gets her point across; it's a little annoying, yes, but that is all it is.

I don't hate Tera, and I don't think she originally started typing in the third person to annoy every one (though I still think it is a stupid effort to show one's self as unique). But now, after knowing that a lot of people abhor her plea for attention (that actually doesn't bother me too much), she seems to flaunt and savor annoying people with it. Now that, that bothers me.

I don't hate Tera nor do I think her(assuming Tera is a girl....most likely not though) talking in third-person is annoying. If anything, I enjoy reading her unique posts.. but then again*looks at location*. I guess I must be the 10% of SWF who doesn't get annoyed by 3rd person, and the only member who enjoys it. In conclusion, as my math teacher always tells me "If you see it, SHOOT IT."

Other than that, most members who have distinct characteristics or trademarks, as you said, probably got some idea from a book or movie and it seeped into their subconscious. It happens with a lot of my friends for sure.
