Obviously, I'm new to smashboards and I've only started to follow the melee scene closely after the smash bros documentary. I've been playing melee for years but, I've never bothered to play super competitively because I can't wavedash to save my life ;_; Hopefully, in sm4sh, the learning curve will not be as steep and I'll have more of a fighting chance when it comes to high level play.

About me, I'm 16, live in Canada (KW has no scene and the last tourney they had was in a pub in February) and I play LoL and CSGO almost as often as I play melee. I main Falco(n) and my only competition is my brother. I wish there was a larger scene in KW it sucks!

Welcome to the forums, Blanc :)

Stick around, there's plenty to learn around here. And there's no need to worry, I can basically guarantee that Smash 4 won't have Melee's high-level learning curve.

Hopefully you'll find some more people to play with though. Have you already looked into the Regional Zones forum? Try looking for a Smash related Facebook group if you can as well. Worst case scenario, you may have to look into taking the initiative to pump up the scene in your area yourself. All it takes is a little push and you could experience a snowball effect.

Anyways, hope you enjoy your time around the forums!
