Conduct
• Tournament attendees are expected to maintain respectful conduct towards other attendees and players (i.e. not knocking players, yelling in ears, etc.).
• Tournament attendees are expected to respect the venue, equipment, and other's property; and liable for any damages they render.
• Coaching is allowed only between games.
• Bracket manipulation is not allowed (intentional forfeiting, match fixing, splitting, subbing).
• All players are expected to be on time to signups and for each match. Failure to do so will result in your disqualification. A 5 minute wait period is given to each player.
All other inquiries and issues are determined at the discretion of the TO. Failure to adhere to rules will lead to punishment at the TO's choosing, which could include the removal from the venue.

I am very happy and proud to announce a new bi-weekly Project M tournament series run by Zolom of Team AEGIS and hosted by Oomba. Put on your coats, a Tempest is coming to SoCal on May 17th!
Tempest will be a unique tournament series. Every 3 months (6th successive tournament) a Tempest: Perfect Storm will take place. These Perfect Storms will include 3 separate brackets, each with their own pot and prize pool. These brackets will be split into 3 categories. The Gust bracket (ameteur), the Squall bracket (intermediate), and the Typhoon bracket (professional).
Your tournament results at each Tempest will contribute to a point-based system, which the Perfect Storms will take into account to place each player into their respective bracket. These points will be for yours and other’s public viewing. As SoCal attempts to grow in strength as a unit, these tournaments have the perfect system to track your progress as a player. Additionally, I have every intention of holding special prizes to be given away within each separate bracket.
I have been hard at work trying to develop a system that gives every player, of every skill level, the opportunity to walk away with something extra from each tournament aside from the joys of friendly faces and the feeling of gaining experience. The top players need not be discouraged, though! Greater prizes await those who achieve greatness, so train hard and play harder.
Speaking of possible discouragement, those outside SoCal are always welcome to come and join in on the fun! Perfect Storms are not restricted to Southern California players.
Oomba is a gaming facility located in the Laguna Hill Mall. It is the host of the successful Smash 4 tournaments, Wednesday Night Melee, and other weekly tournaments like Street Fighter and Counter Strike. Roomy and cozy, there are plenty of seats and couches to go around, and being located in a mall means there is always food and drink close by. For you Magic and game junkies out there check out the Card and Game shop just next door! All in all, this venue definitely earns a seal of approval.
