Atlantic South [May 2, 2015] Smash 4 & Mortal Kombat X Saturday Showdown (McDonough, Georgia)

This Saturday at Anime-zing Escape we are hosting a Smash 4 Singles and Mortal Kombat X tournament with a possible Smash 4 Doubles tourney depending on timeframe and player interest. The Smash 4 singles tourney will start at 3PM, and Mortal Kombat X will start at 5 or 530PM depending on the length of the Smash 4 tournament. Both tourneys are double elimination. The tournament entry fees will be $10 ($5 venue, $5 pot) for your first tourney entry, and $5 per tourney you compete in after that. Payouts for each tourney are as follows:
1st - 60%
2nd- 30%
3rd - 10%

Depending on the turnout for each tourney, we will also have prizes for 4th place and possibly for the two players tied for 5th. We strongly advise you to bring your own controller, and any spare setups are greatly appreciated. If you bring a spare setup, and we use it for tourney play, we will waive your venue fee for the day. A spare setup for Smash should include: Monitor, system, & GameCube adapter. A spare setup for MKX should be a monitor, PS4, and include at least on controller.
We would also enjoy hosting a Smash 4 Doubles tourney if Time and Player interest allows. We will start this tourney after MKX is underway if we have at least 8 interested teams (16 players)

Smash specific rules-
2 Stock, 6 Minute, best of 3 matches.
Winner finals, Loser finals, Grandfinals all best of 5.
We will have the standard custom move sets for each character, if you have a specific loadout you prefer, bring a 3DS and transfer that set into move slot 9 or 10, DO NOT save over slots 1-8.

Mortal Kombat X specific rules
All matches best of 3
Loser finals, winner finals, and grand finals, best of 5.
Winner of first match is NOT locked into their first character played, but MUST choose their character and move variation before the loser of the first match. Stage picking can be agreed upon by both players, or random select will be used.

Please plan to be at the venue a half hour or so before your game begins to get signed up, especially if you are bringing a spare setup, to keep things moving smoothly.

So our Facebook page has gotten a huge influx of Likes lately, and we know a lot are coming from the Smash scene, so first thank you all for coming to our tourneys, and showing us the love.
