They were okay.
Your friend doesn't really "****" with Fox, it's just when you were DK you let him pressure you far too easily, and missed out on a ton of openings. When I watch the best players play, I barely see any openings let alone the ones they find on each other, but in these matches I could pick out many that were missed that could have been taken advantage of.

Also if you play DK really gay you can end Fox's stock pretty quick with grabs and simple edgeguarding :)

Still some decent moves, but jumping in blindly fairly often. Also the pika was doing really unintelligent and unnecessarily risky edgeguards. Leaping off the edge to edgeguard with pika is also not an absolute rule, and you also need to predict where your enemy is going to be. Often a simple fsmash at the ledge or a ledgehog will suffice and sometimes actually works better than other edgeguards.

Also both of you use the Z-roll FAR too often, it leaves you really vulnerable and characters who are fast like pika and Fox barely need to use it. It's more of a situational tool than an absolute rule of when to use it. Especially in that DK/Fox match, if DK starts z-rolling around close to Fox, Fox can simply chase it and resume comboing.

Fox's lasers are a b-tch for DK though, no doubt.

Keep playing smash64! Keep it alive on console!
Cheers

lol at using DK's ftilt and utilt often
use fthrow more often in the **** tent, not back throw
edgeguard with upb instead of down smash

Daedathues this was a couple friendly games messing around. That video of dk, i was messing up quite a bit. I pointed that out. Also with the pikachu, ur confused, i dont gimp a lot cause i find that type of playing really gay in friendlies. Edgeguarding with a forward tilt is very easy, and a tactic not for messing around with ur friend. In a lil bit ill put up a video of some real matches.

Then why post them?
I'm only trying to help/be critical. I can't help it :p
Seriously though, no offense intended. I just think that if they're not serious matches and you don't want them criticized, you might reconsider the value of posting them.

In any case, messing around or not, bad play habits are bad play habits, so a lot of it applies anyway.

You were trying to gimp when you leapt off the stage to edgeguard. Or am I supposed to believe it was all for show?

Then again thats not gimping compared to edgeguarding by repeatedly fsmashing. thats just plain gay, and basicly the def. of gimping.

There's nothing wrong with gimping in friendlies. Afterall, gimping forms a substantial part of high level play. Besides, Pika fsmash at the ledge is hardly what I would call gimping. It's really just standard edge-guarding. Gimping with Pika is more like fthrow off the ledge at low percentage --> run off ledge with an nair/uair --> follow up with whatever is appropriate.

I think the only thing I might frown upon in friendlies is extensive camping.

Anyway this Pika really needs to work on his spacing and approach. Too much fair and not nearly enough nair and especially uair. He does some surprisingly nice work in the **** tent compared to the rest of his game though.

What are you talking about? Link dittos, where both sides spam boomerang and bombs :p too good :)

It depends on how serious the friendly is. If it's a competitive friendly, then yeah... camping is boring. If it's a goofing off friendly, then sometimes camping makes it all the better :p

You wouldn't be referring to me, would you? :p

Well, Puff vs Pika is a death match for puff, so she has to be campy. Any type of agressiveness will result in instant death. Puff has to basically play a perfect game to win this matchup, or the pika must mess up enough. Definitely one of puff's worst matchups.
