We already know who's definitely gonna be there, so who gives a f*ck if I post those as well? I'm just gonna put down the ones that aren't confirmed.

MARIO SERIES

Luigi- Well, you just have to! He was part of the original series, so he has to stay.


Bower Jr/Shadow Mario- I was thinking this would be a good idea, since Bowser Jr was rumored as a new character already, why not have him transform into Shadow Mario?



ZELDA SERIES

Shiek- Because you just gotta. Shiek was good in SSBM, and should be brought back. Zelda was, so why not Shiek?


Ganondorf- He's a good character to play as, plus Sakurai wants more Villians.


Midna with Wolf Link- Not only would she and he make good fighters, but they'd be able to do tether recovery, with that long hand of hers. And I can imagine Wolf Link's Bite to be a good attack as well.


Celda- Not only is he capable of having a unique moveset, he would also have an original animation style above any other fighter.


POKEMON SERIES

Lucario- I don't know that much about Lucario, since I never saw the movie, but everybody's been wanting Lucario in, so why not?


Mewtwo- He was Good in SSBM, so he should be kept into the cast. Besides, psychic Pokemon are cool.


MISC. SERIES

Krystal- She would make a good fighter, and wouldn't be a clone due to her rifle and staff.


Captain Falcon- He was part of the original crew. He's got to come back!


Ness- Even though Lucas might have "replaced" him, he should still stay. They could become a team in the Subspace Emmisary!


Ridley- Everybody's been asking for him, so he should be on the list.


Erika- People have Complained that there is no female Fire Emblem Sword fighter. Well, I found one that actually is from an American FE game.


King K Rool- He would make for an excellent Heavy character, plus, his bite move could be pretty deadly!


Geno- Again, by popular demand.


Mii- Would make the game more interactive when playing Wi-Fi Mode.


Banjo-Kazooie- Would make for excellent fighters with their repitoire of moves. Plus, another character with both tether recovery and gliding!


King Dedede- Would make for a good weapons-based fighter, and his inhilation ability is not too shabby either.


Megaman- His Blast-based attacks would be a good method of fighting. Plus, he's one of the greats of the 90's.


Sonic the Hedgehog- Do I really have to explain this one?

I put her in because people were looking for a character like her, plus he fighting style would be a lot more swift and quicker.

Eirika? Micaiah trumps her for multiple reasons, and will be in America before Brawl comes out. >_>

Also there are to many third party characters, and the glarring one is Banjo and Kazooie. Microsoft has them now. Microsoft. Geno is another one you may want to get rid of.

Bowser Jr. may get in, but not Shadow Mario. It's not worth the time or effort with that guy. Also I very much doubt that K. Rool will get in. <_<

Eirika shouldnt be in and Banjo and Kazooie is a long shot but all-in-all a good list just missing a few essentials....Olimar, Jiggyluff, Falco/Wolf etc.

I think Ephraim should get in over his sister, simply becuase he's TOTALY unique in how he plays. But that's just my opinon.

At least until the game comes out. And I think Ephriam won't be coming out because Sakurai already has a male FE character on the roster, and he wants to put in more ladies.

1. I suppose your right, but people want a female FE lord instead of a male.
2. That doesn't stop the fact that it was one of the most requested third-party characters. He was able to show up in a Mario & Luigi RPG, so why not in Brawl?
3. It's a pipe dream, but it's still possible.
4. Bowser Jr. has his own moveset without the paintbrush. Ever played Mario Bros DS?
5. Sakurai has been saying he wants more villians, more female characters, and less clones. How do you not know this? An he would have to resort to Rool, because he's the villian from the Donkey Kong Franchise.

The rumor to go along with the announcement of Ridley, Celda, and Bowser Jr, was that Young Link and Mr. Game and Watch were going to be cut.

Of course they wouldnt if Banjo and Kazooie were popular enough to boost Smash's sales. Which they arnt. Sonic and Solid Snake may be. Also theres the VERY important factor that theres a new and xbox 360 exclusive Banjo and Kazooie 3 coming out soon that needs plugging and would be perfect to boost its sales. Look at the wonders being included in Smash did for the Fire Emblem series.

Banjo and Kazooie in Brawl = Higher sales on Banjo and Kazooie 3 or at least a bit of plugging for it and it wont affect/make better Smash Bros and its sales.

Which of course means Nintendo wouldnt want to plug a game for a rival company but they have no problem doing it with MGS4....the music and snakes inclusion. Banjo and Kazooie are a very interesing subject.

Megaman would make for an excellent character. And I can imagine that Nintendo and Capcom are doing well, since they're still making Megaman games for Nintendo systems.

I think when Snake was announced and the infamous Sakurai statement that theres atleast or at most two more third party characters in Brawl as well the floodgates of possibility opened.

Naturally Sonic is the first choice because of how important and brilliant that his Mario rivalry was. People want to recapture that in some way by Smashing the s*it out of Mario on Sonic and vice versa.

Since that leaves one spot and because Geno is a controversial subject Mega Man over time became the logical choice. Mainly because he's more popular with everyone than Bomberman, Pacman etc. He is also quite important to Nintendos history and to the NES/SNES. The only third party characters that are important to Nintendo to the point where they deserve a spot in Brawl are Bomberman, Mega Man, Simon Belmont and Banjo-Kazooie. Megamans simply the most popular out of the four.

Personaly im happy with any of them...as long as i get my Sonic/Mario showdown.

1. It would make more sense if it was just because of the great Banjo-Kazooie games they had for N64 and GBA.
2. I never heard of the IC's being a part of that, and I checked multiple sources. And I do so have Celda there!
3. That's not true, since Sakurai's poll states that Geno is the most requested Square character out of all of them.
4. Yeah he did. It's cited in the podcast multiple times.
5. Bowser Jr. Doesn't have Water abilities of any kind!

It shouldn't be based on who was in what game. It's based on if it was a popular character with a uniquie set of moves and a good fighter all around. Who knows? Maybe Sakurai will update Shiek graphically, to show what Shiek would look like if he was in TP.

Zelda didn't do anything in Ocarina of Time except play hard to get, make link hot and uncomfortable as Sheik (jk) and eventually get captured and play the role of bait, yet in SSBM she has a full move set for herself AND Sheik (who also didn't do any fighting in OoT). Just because she can't transform in TP doesn't mean they wouldn't include Sheik. It would make more sense if they excluded him to try and emphasize Zelda's strengths.

As for characters I would love to see, Pius Augustus is up at the top. He's got three Anciant Gods that he can tap for power, A totally cool bone-staff-thing that he can wield like a scythe and Eternal Darkness' insanity effects would really up the ante on a SSBB game. Plus, Nintendo has the rights for ED so why not?

He looks like a standard Gladiator. He seems like a good character, but I don't think he would ever make it to Brawl. Maybe when the 4th game comes out.

He's a roman soldier and like I said, the pics don't really do him justice. Also it started out as a 64 game and you can kind of tell with the way he looks. However, trust me when I say he could stand toe to toe with just about anyone confirmed or not in SSBB.
