I have recently picked up Marth and may consider converting to him after about 2 years of Mario. Before I make this decision, i need more reasons to switch, and matchups are an important aspect. I tried looking for matchup guides on smashboards and couldn't find anything. Can anyone help me, please?

FOX:
Chaingrab. Space against his shffl Nair. Dtilt recovery. Wavedash dtilt for approach. Don't let him grab you. Always go for grabs
Falco:
same as Fox, except you can gimp way easier with dtilt/fsmash
MARTH:
F throw to edge (pseudo chaingrab.) and get easy tippers off of Fthrow/Dthow Mixups. Easy Ken combos from floatiness.
PEACH:
Don't get downsmashed. Focus the most on edguarding. PP punish for whiffed dash attacks/dsmashes (side b once => utilt)
try not to let her pull turnips.
FALCON:
be patient. he has very easy kills on you. Always ALWAYS kill him when he goes for upb offstage (Spike, Fsmash, etc. It's really really easy to punish it.)

That's kind of the TLDR. I left out a lot, but it's the basics.

TLDR: Grab. Throw, followup. Edgeguard. Space. Rinse. Repeat. Win.

SHEIK:
Sheik will **** YOU UP. don't expect to win against any Sheik that knows how to combo you. I'm serious. Go read the MIOM Marth/Sheik guide (it's on my guide list on this board) first. Know grab followups on her, (fthrow, ftrhow, uthrow, utilt) and be able to move well around her on the stage. Learn to DI her downthrow, and ftilt. Good edgeaurds pls (a good one is to let her land onstage with her recovery, and use the lag to ledgedash and then reverse upB.)

I don't know much about IC's yet.

SAMUS:
WavedashOos for them missiles. Learn to powershield (another thing I forget to mention, learn those two for Falco as well). You can get really good juggles at low % from her weight. If she is recovering high, edgegaurds are pretty easy (just watch when she uses downB) and if recovering low with tether, try and steal the ledge first and then punish.

Are these helpful at all?

YES! Thank you. Sucks that if I do switch to Marth, I'll still be struggling with Sheik, but I'll get around it.

IC's: Spaces fairs, avoid getting grabbed and kill nana quickly with dair.
Well, there's a bit more to it then that, as you could say that for a lot of matchups. Ground control is important against IC's. Your neutral game is all patience, as you CANNOT get grabbed, you must try not to commit. Comboing should be done from punishes that you get from grabs. Try and desync with attacks if possible. I haven't played against many IC's (too hot in Texas apparently) but that's all I can really say about it.

The match up vs sheik isn't that bad. Most marth players just suck with 2 match ups and that's sheik and marth. The key factor is how well you play. Sheik has nothing that will destroy marth players, just make it harder to do what the marth player wants. You need to approach in certain ways, do certain moves that aren't risky. You need to learn to edge guard sheik and space well. All of these things and more are similarly necessary in marth dittos, but it isn't as volatile of a match up.

I'd like to disagree about the Sheik matchup. Sheik has many many things that can mess with Marth's neutral game. Her long dash attack, and combos out of it on Marth, and her downthrow chaingrab, which can get her good DI followups. Needle edgeguards are also quite annoying. Marth can win, it's just not easy.

Marth can out space Sheik making dash attack a risky move, especially if it hits shield. Grabs throw sheik around like a ragdoll making it easy for Marth to control stage positioning. Sheiks poor horizontal drift also makes it so she can be juggled and it's fairly easy to bait out a jump because it's the only way to get out of repeating up-tilts. So a lot of what Marth does forces sheik players to react in specific ways. As Marth play is mostly about baiting and feinting attacks, sheik can be particularly vulnerable to Marth's pressure. The only thing IMO that makes the Matchup difficult is that sheik can punish Marth a bit harder, and due to his laggy attacks Sheik has more openings for punishment (something that is similar to the Captain Falcon match up). If both players play equally well (or even optimally) Marth has no more than a slight disadvantage granted by whiffed attacks and poor placement.
