So I've seen people use Marth's fair two different ways. Really minute difference but some people do a short hop and immediately do the fair thus autocancelling if you don't fast fall. Then other people short hop then do the fair right before they hit the ground. Is there a purpose for this? It seems it'd be laggier so if someone could explain I'd greatly appreciate it.

I don't think I understand...
If you can get the fair off and actually hit someone, like if they're attacking you, then the landing lag doesn't matter as much

Else, it's a bad idea.
