Market For Older Consoles?

I'm asking because I had a thread on Reddit a year or so back, but now I can't find it. Does anybody know of a place to go to sell old consoles to collectors, or am I stuck on eBay? The guy mentioned a place, but I can't remember.

I'm not asking to sell on here, but just for information - I have a Sega Genesis I'm looking to get rid of with a crap ton of games in box, including the original Sonics, Earthworm Jim, and other ones that apparently sell for a good amount these days. Possibly a SNES too.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Again - NOT AN AD. Please don't offer to buy here, as I'm just looking for info.

Aside from Ebay, you also have Amazon and 99Gamers. Although 99Gamers is kind of shaky since you only get currency you can spend on their site, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for money. Honestly, if you're looking to sell older stuff most people just hit up Ebay or Amazon anyway.

Also, watch your prices. About a year ago prices were through the roof on older games but now they're dropping.

I bet their dropping because they are appearing as download on the consoles? (NES super mario bros on wii u for example)

No, old games have been downloadable for a while. Prices went up because people weren't buying physical copies of old games for that exact reason. While normally this would causes prices to drop, instead it made sellers on the second hand market target collectors who are willing to buy things for obscene prices.

Unfortunately for second hand sellers, people who are willing to pay $75 for a copy of Majora's Mask are very few and have already bought their high-priced copies. This means that unsold old games with ridiculously inflated prices have been floating around the market for a while, but since everyone who is willing to pay high prices has already done so prices are dropping again.

GameTZ is probably your best bet. Unlike some of the other sites, all the prices and shipping and things are set by the individual users themselves and things like that. Whenever I'm dealing with older game stuff, it's what I've used since 2007.
