Finally our events are a part of a series! Game5 Smash and POPnGAMES are proud to present: POPnOFF, a series of Smash tournaments at the #1 Smash venue in Queens, POPnGAMES!
This event will be Smash Wii U only
Doubles MAY happen if we have enough attendees
Registration starts at 1:00pm, bracket starts at 3:00pm
Venue Fee: $5 (waived for those who bring setups)
Entry Fee: $5
Also 5% OFF any purchase if you attend the tournament!!
Rules
We will be using a modified version of the Apex 2015 Ruleset:
The tournament is double-elimination
Sets are best of 3, and best of 5 for Winner's Finals, Loser's Finals and Grand Final's
Game Settings
● Stock and time are set to 2 stock and 6 minutes, 3 stock and 8 minutes for doubles
● Custom Fighters are set to off
● Items set to OFF and NONE
● Mii Fighters are legal. Each setup will have a 1111 Mii
Brawler/Swordsman/Gunner available for use (Using Default A Mii). No other specials for Mii Fighters will be allowed. Players are not allowed to transfer existing Miis to a setup.
Stage Selection
● Stage Striking: The winner of a RPS match chooses which player will strike first one stage from the Starter Stage list. Then the other player strikes one stage and the remaining stage is used for the first match.
● Stage Clause: A player/team may not pick any stage they previously won on during the set.
● Stage Bans: During the stage ban phase, the player who won the previous game may ban 2 stages from either the Starter or Counterpick lists.
● SelfDestruct Moves: If a match ends with the successful use of a character’s selfdestruct move, the player that initiated the self destruct move wins the match regardless of what the results screen states. Selfdestruct moves include only Ganondorf’s SideB, King Dedede’s NeutralB, Wario’s NeutralB, and Kirby’s NeutralB.

● Halberd
● Kongo Jungle 64 (Doubles Only)

NOTE: Banning Final Destination also bans ALL Omega Stages, and banning any non-Omega Stage also bans its Omega form (i.e. banning Battlefield also bans Omega Battlefield)
