Smash Lord
It's that time again. I will be adding more info in the next few days but here is the facebook event page
This will be a Smash 4 and Project M Doubles and Singles event.
Time for events:
10am - Registration Begins.
12:00pm - Project M Doubles Begins
1:00pm - Smash 4 Doubles Begins
3:00pm - Project M Singles Begins
4:00pm - Smash 4 Singles Begins
9:00pm - Out of the venue and over to Buffalo Wild Wings
Rules
[collapse=General Rules]-Players who fail to report to their match within 10 minutes of it being announced will lose their first game of the match. After 15 minutes without reporting to their match, players will be disqualified from the tournament.
- Coaching is allowed only between games, not during.
- Bracket matches take priority over friendlies and money matches. The TO reserves the right to prematurely end any match.
- BYOC
- Non-first party controllers must be inspected by TO staff before use in tourney.
- Wireless controllers are discouraged due to interference and unreliability.
- Pause can be requested off and that request cannot be denied. If one pauses mid-match, the person who initiated the pause loses their current stock. If the pause causes the opponent to lose their stock (such as interfering with recovery), the person who initiated the pause loses two stocks. If there is any doubt in the ruling of a pausing incident, stop what you are doing and CALL ONE OF THE TOs TO YOUR MATCH.
- The tournament organizer has the right to save/record any tournament match if possible and has the right to upload said match.
- Any player is allowed to pick a stage they have already banned against an opponent.
- Any hacks or mods applied to a setup may be inspected by a TO, who reserves the right to have those hacks disabled if they are deemed inappropriate for tournament play.

* 4 stock, 8:00 minute timer.
* All items set to OFF and item frequency set to NONE.
* Input Assist set to OFF.
* Ties after the time limit are determined by stocks, then by percentage.
* Dave’s Stupid Rule: You cannot counterpick any stage you have won on in a set unless agreed upon by the opponent.
* The TO staff reserves the right to change rulesets accordingly in the event of a new release at least two weeks before the tournament.
Stage Strike from Starters for the first match of the set:
1. First player strikes one stage.
2. Second player strikes one stage.
3. Play on remaining stage
After each match:
1. Winner announces two (2) stage bans
2. Loser chooses counterpick stage
3. Winner chooses their character
4. Loser chooses their character

Miis fighters allowed (see rulings below)
Players may not take advantage of any glitches or bugs that:
-Stall the game
-Cause the game to crash
-Or inhibit players from moving or freely controlling their character
Stage Striking: The player with port priority strikes one stage from the
Starter Stage list. Then the other player strikes one stage and the
remaining stage is used for the first match.
Stage Clause: A player/team may not pick any stage they previously won
on during the set.
Mii Rulings:
-Players must use Mii Guest A for all Mii Fighters made.
-Players are allowed to make one Mii Fighter per set.
-Players may choose the moveset.
-Players that choose to use the Mii Fighters are not allowed to change their moveset or Mii Fighter type in between matches.
-Badges and other equipment are not allowed.
-Players that take an excessive amount of time creating their their Mii Fighter are subject to penalties such as warnings or game loss.
-Mii Brawler One-Inch-Punch is Banned.
SelfDestruct Moves: If a match ends with the successful use of a
character’s selfdestruct move, the player that initiated the self destruct
move wins the match regardless of what the results screen states.
Selfdestruct moves include only Ganondorf’s SideB, King Dedede’s
NeutralB, Wario’s NeutralB, and Kirby’s NeutralB.
Team Colors: Players’ character colors must match their team's color
when possible, to avoid confusion (ex: Luigi on the green team must use
the green costume).
Alternate Controllers: The Wii U Gamepad, Nintendo 3DS, and
Nintendo 2DS are banned from use as controllers. All other controllers are
acceptable for this event.
Bowser Jr’s Clown Car Glitch: If the Bowser Jr.’s Clown Car Glitch
happens, players are to pause the match and call a TO or a referee over
to confirm the glitch has happened. Once confirmed, players will reset the
match to the same stocks and get as close to the percents as they had
when the Glitch took place. (The Bowser Jr. Clown Car Glitch happens
when the car respawns after using Up B right before the player loses their
stock. The character starts to teleport around, also hit boxes and
animations for Bowser Jr. change.)
