Luma color change add anythng?

I know this might be a stupid question but does luma's different colors add any special effects or is it just that she changes color? thanks.

Black makes it invisible on the Pac Man stage....

Well, certain colors on certain stages make it hard to keep track of. Purely cosmetic and a nice touch regardless.

G&W had similar issues in Brawl IIRC, although they're reduced in 4 because of the outlines.

Actually, is Luma outlined as well? I'd assume so, but I don't think Olimar's Pikmin are so...

Nope not really any outline, just the glowing eyes.

This would be cool if it weren't for the fact that you have no way of knowing which Luma is whose in a Rosalina ditto.
