Luigi's glitch in Yoshi's Island

I was playing against the CPU and Luigi just crossed "into" the stage... Is this something that happens to other characters? How do recreate this glitch?

I'm guessing that the game failed to detect the ledge, and he was a little low to land 'on' the stage, he simply went through it like a soft-platform.

Haha, i'm kidding. That's cool! But just like FalKoopa has said, Luigi failed to grab the ledge. I believe he almost grabbed it, but as he grabbed the hitbox hit him as he was somewhat on the wall? Ehh... i don't know for sure. Nice find!
