Luigi's and Pikachu's Glitch in Yoshi's Island

Hi guys, I was playing against the CPU and this happened, what happened?? Can someone explain?

Also, is this glitch only for this characters and on this stage?

This kind of thing happens all the time on custom stages, never seen it on an official stage though. Moved thread to WiiU Media.

There's some funky stuff that can happen at ledges in this game. (Dark) Pit can fall through those ledges with his ledge attack if another character grabs the ledge at the same time. This was going around awhile back too.

For most characters it's just being hit the right way at the right time, I'm fairly confident only the Pits can intentionally do this (and they require a sloped ledge for it).

Is it only possible in the 3DS version? Or can it also happen in the Wii U game
