Lets really take a look at Luigi:

1. Has moderately powered attacks and a couple KO Moves. All his moves have decent range.
2. He has grabs that can combo with decent range.
3. His recoveries are great if you know how to use them.
4. His running speed isn't to fast or to slow, neither is his weight.
5. Has a projectile with a stun.

I think Luigi got a general buff for brawl... what was once one of his weakest attributes is now one of his strongest -- his recovery. (if you know how to use it right) ^^

Luigi is great. :p

I would say hes balanced, except that all of his aerial attacks have absolutely insane priority. He also really isnt very balanced when you consider jump height. But otherwise I would say hes a pretty balanced character.

Luigi = far worse than in Melee imo. His aerial game got much much floatier in Brawl, which means he lost his ability to just jump up and kick your but with an aerial. The green missile is one of the most disappointing changes, (side B). It no longer has any use in his combat, it's just a recovery move, and a weak one at that. Sakurai emphasized his slipperyness even more in this game, which means that it's near impossible to stop with him, and all of his smashes have been made less powerful.

I would say Mario or Kirby are the most balanced. Balanced means in the middle, not on the bad side.

luigi is way too slippery to be blanced, its a big disadvantage. Plus his air game is better than his ground game. so he isnt too balanced.

The most well rounded character in Brawl is Mr. G&W.

1. He deals damage and kills quickly
2. He stays alive fairly long because his defensive options are GOOD, and so is his recovery
3. has projectiles
4. can counter projectile spam
5. best approacher in the game
6. very good grab game with D-throw techchase setup
7. amazing ledgeguarder
8. moves very quickly

Mario isn't all that balanced. He's more of the fast but weak type of character. Luigi, I dunno though. Luigi is quirky in various ways.

oh I played Brawl yesterday (here in germany it's little uncommon ^^)
and I have to say Luigi is such a nice char !
he can combo very well and has nice finishers I think he's not really the nmost ballanced, but one of the best chars !

His Recovery is too good and the combos u can make with UAir and BAir is perfect against nearly any char in brawl exept of marth or such **** like that =D

Luigi is broken, definitely not balance. Weird-Insane recovery, too much priority and ridiculous knockback and power in attacks that look like they'll be weak, a cheap and easy overpowered sweet spot attack with his upB, none of his moves lags at all and you can spam most of his over powered arials, all of his moves pop out quick, his slippery tractions makes him escape combos easily, can recover from most hits insanely quicker than most characters. The list goes on and on, not saying that luigi isn't a good smash character, but this representation of him doesn't suit luigi at all, except for his jumping height. And he's definitely not one of the most ideal characters to call balanced, more like cheap.

luigi is cheap???? i think we need a dictionary to re-learn the definition of cheap then (and a picture next to the word cheap shows snake not luigi) anyways i do agree with you in regards to his up-b and all that but hes far from cheap hes a character who got some much needed buffs to improve his game

Fair and bair spam with insane priority can create inescapable combos, nair has the knockback almost equivalent to an effective smash, upB sweet spot is easy and can KO most foes at percentages as low as 70 percent, upB out of shield is possible which sets foes up for quick kills. That's enough to call any character cheap bro. I refuse to use luigi because it just doesn't seem right when I kill people using luigi, it seems unfair. Its almost as bad as KOing a foe when they randomly trip. And for the record, Snake is definitely not cheap as a smash character, well, except when he's fighting lugi in particular..:chuckle:

luigi ****s scrubs up but he has major problems with lots of characters - metaknight, diddy, rob, etc. can completely sodomize him.

those Fair and bair combos you speak of usually only connect at lower percents thanks to the new hit-stun in this game (which is pretty non-exsistant) and while i do agree that some characters can be sent flying at around 70-75% with a fire jump punch any good player will properly space themselves to not let that happen.you forget to mention how luigi's approach options are limited to 1-2 moves and while his pro's do outweigh his cons he does have some match-ups that are pretty hard so i fail to see how he can be as broken as you claim and btw i lol'ed at your Snake comment since my bro mains him so i know all about his cheapness lol
