By videos alone, it certainly seems like it. But they both their styles and I'm guessing they can counter each other.

But hasn't Luigi always been better than Mario? I mean, besides the cape, all of Luigi's moves are somewhat more effective.

Well, Mario's supposed to be stronger, and Luigi's supposed to jump higher and move faster.

The one thing that confuses me about Luigi in Brawl is that if he doesn't make contact with anyone when he uses his up b, he is completely defenseless as he comes to the ground. I guess people just have to be a little more cautious when using it.

wait... I just watched a video, and it looked like you can use his DB for horizontal recovery. a luigi (human) was knocked very far off of FD, and he used green missile, then luigi's DB for more horizontal, then his air jump, and then his UB.

Wow. Luigi will never have a falling death.

Or am I just seeing things?

The dojo lists his final smash:

Opponents who set foot in the Negative Zone are plagued by a random assortment of effects including:

Drastically reduced attack power
Greater launch distance when hit
Increased likelihood of slipping
Steady increase in damage percentage
Flower growth on head
Dizziness
Uncontrollable taunting
Sudden sleepiness
Decreased movement speed

Sounds like a medicine commercial.

Please do not drive or operate machinery when activating the negative zone. If you are pregnant or nursing, ask your doctor if activating the negative zone is right for you.

Luigi is obviously better than everyone else. He can cause uncontrollable taunting, for crying out loud!

Anyway, quick question that doesn't deserve it's own thread: Can his DAir spike?

Fire Flower Luigi > Fire Flower Mario. Oh yeah I went there.

Luigi just became Sogeking!

Sogeking being a much better version of Usopp, with a Saiyaman-type of voice, and Luigi sounding more Luigi-like than before. Plus, he's much better than Mario!

Pffft, Mario's better. Luigi fanboys are just mad he's always been second banana. ;)

IMO It's still too early to tell if Luigi has more potential than Mario now, or if Mario is still riding higher than his little bro. I really want to play as both of them though.

I know, Luigi is superior. He is smooth, cool (in an akward way), and has the coolest taunt.
His final smash screws people up and (if you're good at luigi) opens up a lot of oppertunities to combo, or use the Fire Uppercut. Some more things: LUIGI HAS HIS VOICE BACK! *you hear Luigi say: "Ima Luigi, numbel one!"*, His side b can charge up indefinitely and recovery! *Hallejuyah!* Luigi can recover much better.
It's no wonder why I main Luigi and hereby nominate him for King of the Skies.(because of his arials)

but... Mario is better with weapons(Parasol FTW)

Nope in addition his upB doesn't just go straight vertical, it's buffed so it can go horizontal as well. :D

Do not use the Negative Zone with alcohol. If you have stomach, urinary, or glaucoma problems, ask your doctor before using the Negative Zone, as serious side effects may occur.
