Well after several matches against my friend on corneria (he uses falco) and several wins/up-bs, he apparently says that it's a cheap stage and just quits matches when i play it

do you think it is too much of an advantage to luigi or he is just being a johner

anyways.....

maybe this should be a stage discussion if we dont already have one? if it does i will try to keep it alive

heh, thats the same with me and my friend, I always quit when he goes on that stage ( I main falco aswell)
Personally I think it's tough for falco on that stage because it's hard to chain grab...
Corneria is a semi cheap stage because of the infinite wall and also because of the lasers flying everywhere.
Seriously though I think he's just being a Johner because he kept losing.

If corneria is a valid counterpick... always pick it as Luigi, always. UpB kills at like 15% earlier :)

As for Falco, he blows on Corneria, as its pretty hard to laser properly and the CG is bleh. Pretty one sided for this matchup, but seriously, the falco player needs to grow up and pick FD when its his turn...

EDIT: Luigiking post, forgot to log out again.

Haha...I found that comment funny. I don't use Corneria on my version of the game, for some reason, it freezes up o_O.. I think its the homebrew.

Really? What codes do you have running? I have no tripping and infinite replays and my corneria works fine...
I think it might be another code: the unrestricted pause camera. I had several problems with it, so I don't suggest anyone use it.

off topic but, exactly what IS homebrew/ocarina? i hear that everywhere

and b-throw to corneria wall > up-smash = win
Homebrew is a channel that illegally overrides the Wii's memory and hacks the system through a game disc. It is a client for running other non-Nintendo applications, one of which is the ocarina cheating device. It runs codes like action replay, and with the correct software on your computer you can make a code list from Brawl and play with all kinds of cheats.
Here is ALiAsVee's homebrew guide http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=198697
Learn about it there.

G&W ***** more on this stage from what I'm hearing. Hylian says it's G&W's best stage by far. One character you don't want to counterpick Corneria against.

Anyhow, just keep in mind that just because there is a wall in the way in the lower section, Falco can simply pivot grab to change directions for the CG -> spike if necessary. He slides forward really far when pivot grabbing, so it works.

Perfect, that is my new CP, it works for both of my favorite characters.

Yeah GaW is really broken on that stage... kills Snake with dsmash at 60 %... >_>

And it's not really 15 % to kill someone ^^

It took 40 % (NO DI) for me to kill Mario with upB. So it's only like 20 % earlier than normally, but your enemy can kill you ealier too, so I wouldn't say it's broken with Luigi.

what makes it broken is the fact that luigi has some nice moves that kill vertically like upb, up angled fsmash, usmash, dsmash, utilt , and bthrow kills at low percents in the lower section. if you think you kill early here , try playing on luigis mansion and just camp the top , but be careful on the lower sections and for your own sake never play an olimar on luigis mansion
