Lucas "flaming waveland" possible advanced tech.

Ok...so I've been thinking about Lucas's special moves, and I came to realise something that could be important.

We all know that Lucas's PK fire pushes him backwards a bit, right? If he gets pushed back in the air too, then it should be possible to use PK fire as a kind of waveland.

When Lucas hits the ground during PK fire, the move gets cancled. If you time it just right, You may be able do waveland while simultaneously shooting and canceling PK fire.

This is just a theory though...

I've got Brawl, and this DOES work. I think I'm gonna focus on Lucas for a bit because I like the way he plays.

This is actually VERY useful. You go backward while facing the same way and throw a projectile that knocks them back. It's VERY useful to keep enemies at bay. I don't know if this cancels out the lag, but it's barely noticable anyway.

I think I'm gonna write a mini Lucas guide because I like him so much. Or at least share more information.

Oh man, that's awesome. Lucas sounds interesting as heck to play, and I'm really not sure who I'll main now.

Test if this works, Percon. DJC with Lucas, and as the second jump starts to twirl him down and to the front, air dodge, and see if he wavelands/dashes it. If so, wait a biiit longer and see if you can do it when the swing arcs around to the back.

Also: PK Fire looks like it can be an intense edge guard, if you fire it AWAY from the edge. IE, it pushes you back and makes you grab the ledge. Am I right on this?

I'd like to get in on the guide writing scene.. I haven't seen enough with Ness yet, but I'm gonna be testing out Ness and Lucas extensively to see what works and what doesn't.

Remember that Lucas has Mewtwo's old jump, and it's not the same as Ness's. His djc is different.

And that edgeguard idea sounds awesome!

I don't know. His djc causes him to drop faster than Ness so it could mean he slides further. Peach can sort of wavedash, So hopefully Lucasvcan do it.

However, we don't know if air dodge interrupts the curve of his jump like an attack does.

Also, PK Fire comes out really quick, and with the pop back it gives you and your enemies, it looks like a great interruption move. Does it have good priority?

I've heard so much on this DJC thats its just confusing the pants off of me. First i hear only peach can do it, then i hear nobody can do it, and now i hear that peach lucas and ness can do it? A pm to link to where this was confirmed would be amazing and appreciated.

And thats an awesome idea with the techs, good job. I was planning on maining luccas right along with ganondorf, so i'm glad to see things are looking up for my boy lucas :D

I watched some vids on Lucas, him and ness are so different I wouldn't even consider them clones if they didn't have the same final smash.

Lucas' PK fire is really useful, and has amazing potential.

I don't mean to be a bother, but could you also check what his taunts are and how much damage and the animation of his grab attack (like where you hit the enemy while you have him held... I'm not 100% sure what they call it )

(sigh)... thats disappointing. but hey weve got fire waveland now which does look to be very useful. there are many things to be discovered with ness and lucas. fire waveland is just the beginning folks. also, i heard that lucas has super armor. if he does, when does he have it?
