Lucario vs. Golduck for Brawl

I am not a major pokemon guy, in fact I have no knowledge at all, but I did some wikipediaing and I read up on some pokemon.

I think Golduck would be a very neat fit for Brawl. He is a psychic pokemon and in reality he could replace MewTwo as the psychic pokemon of Brawl and he seemes to be fairly popular among pokemon fans. If not replacing MewTwo, Golduck could challenge Lucarino for a roster spot.

Now I also have a question, whats the big deal with Lucario? Why is everyone so high on this fighting pokemon? The reasons why I see Golduck as a better candidate because he is bipedal like Lucario but also has both psychic powers and fighting type abilities. Why not consider Golduck for brawl?

I don't know, I hate pokemon anyway I don't know why I care.

That thing looks like the platypus of the Pokemon world... I doubt it would get in over much. I don't even remember that pokemon, what generation is it from?

After another moment of wikipediaing---Generation 1.

I have no idea if Generation means in anything when selecting pokemon. And the games have all different names: Ruby, Fire, Diamond, Pearl, Rock, Blue, Red, Verde, etc etc you get the point, so I don't know if that means anything either.

Note the sarcasm in the naming of Pokemon games--if you cant take a joke to hell with ya

Completely agreed. First generation was the best (the second generation was not terrible, but I don't like any of the games after that), although I seriously do not remember Golduck. I do remember Psyduck now that you mention it though XD

I think thats news to me since I had no clue about the movie. Hence in the first sentence of the first post of this thread I typed, I AM NOT A POKEMON GUY, thus, no clue about said movie. But I guess since Golduck wasn't in any movies and Lucario was, Lucario wins, but I still like Golduck...in fact he's the only pokemon I like.

Biased hate? WTF, I don't hate him I just want Jiggs and Mewtwo back and I hate how his fans use piss poor reasons like that unsuccsuful outdated movie or "repping" the fourth gen.

OK, I got it. Charizard eats the Pokemon Trainer, he squritle and whatever the **** that other thing is go on their way, Lucario and Golduck both make brawl...epic ****in' win.

The movie is successful and that's the reason he is popular... deal with it.

If it were succusful it would have gone to DVD or theatres not Cartoon Network, the OC's last season was more succusful than his movie.

Stay true to the Pokemon franchise? A pokemon is a pokemon, minus Ridley, he's the anti pokemon. So whats the difference if its 2nd 3rd or 4th generation character? All pokemon are the same franchise.

No I don't I never said that stop putting words in my mouth, I think that Pokemon shouldn't be represented by generations is all because that is a horrible reason. I don't know if you noticed my old sig but I own Pokemon Pearl and I play it a lot. I like the first gen pokemon more yes but that is because they are more popular and recognisable especially the ones that have allready been in Smash Bros, which some morons think should be replaced (aside from Pichu)

There are probably gonna be 6 first gen pokemon, I don't know what's your deal with Lucario.
