I dont think that Lucario should be in brawl. I think that because hes too new and they usually use characters that have been out for more than 3 years. Just look at MetaKnight, he is one of the newest characters that has come out for a game. Maybed sometime down the road for smash bros. Lucario will be in, just not right now.

This has already been done, I learned that because I made a thread like this too. it made it pretty far and then got killed by the page 51 monster (I think). There's also a lucario shrine that you can post these things on (Lucario shrine is the name of the lucario discussion thread). I'll post the link for you.

EDIT: I've been beaten.

Lucario should not be in Brawl unless he's a character that appears out of a Pokeball. Though, using Lucario in Brawl as a main character would be pretty interesting and definitely entertaining for the most part. Who knows, Lucario may just be a main character that you have to play during the event or adventure mode of the game. Nintendo works in weird ways. Guess we'll have to wait and see what other surprises Nintendo slips into the game.

Does the Sand man ring a bell to anyone? lol
How is Lucario NECESSARY to the franchise?

Man, Sandman was a hoot and a half. But this guy seems a bit more level headed than Sandman.

Still, this thread has no real business living. ABORT. *deku poofs out of thread*

How did I know you were posting on this thread :S
I personally think lucario deserves pokeball and that's it. No point in ruining the game (IMO lol)

I know it's your opinion. I would like an explanation on your opinion. Your opinion has to have a good base.

'Cause you're a prophet? :p

For real though. Lucario ruining the game? Very few characters truly deserve such a branding. I doubt you really mean that, even if you STRONGLY dislike Lucario.

Or maybe you do. I'm sometimes a terrible judge of people.

Lucario has a much better chance, because Darkrai is not a world-wide character yet. Unless they decide to put his movie and release him to the public in February.

Are you kidding me? Twilight Link, Zelda, and Ike say hi. Lucario is very popular. Since Deoxys and Munchlax got deconfirmed, Lucario is inchallenged. Also he has his own movies which was one of the highest rated pokemon movies and plus has a unique moveset that other pokemon don't have.

Although Darkrai is also very cool. Especially his cool sleeping move, I dunno. Haven't played my Diamond in a while. =p

Edit: Darkrai is, well a dark type pokemon. It is only obtainable from Nintendo event or using AR. He is a pokemon that puts pokemon to sleep and then uses nightmare and other stuff to keep the pokemon asleep.

Lucario and Darkrai are the only choices left for Pokemon reps, the newest gens need a rep, so far everything is first gen and since Deoxys and Gardevoir are pokeballed, that means one of those two will be playable.
it does not need a new gen rep, pokeball is fine, if he's in, I won't cry. But I still detest Lucario with all my heart, but thousands-of-fan-boys>kunai_abuser

Lol I absolutly love how people pay attention to the one post I didn't care if it got attention to.

I'll be editing this in a second (looking for a thread of mine, if it still exists).
EDIT: found it :]

please don't post on it. Also it's not just the first post, that's about half of the reasons, please skim through the whole thread if you plan to look through it.

I don't care for lucario, at all in fact. That's why I don't want him in brawl. I barely know him, I dont care for him,a nd personally, a pokeball would be perfectly fine. I'd rather see mankey, the most amazing monkey ever, rather than a truquoise fox that stands on two feet.

@Meta: Here's the link he meant to show you
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Darkrai

@Wagner: Hows about neither, Jigglypuff has been confirmed through an interview (so I've heard), so thats 5 pokemon reps right there. That's more than enough.
Not to mention the countless pokemon in pokeballs and trophies from past games AND the fact that rayquaza is in adventure mode for brawl :|

Oh goodie, another anti-character thread...>_>...

Worst argument ever...one, Pokemon Trainer says hi...two, Lucario was revealed over two years ago...Februrary of 2005...give me a sec, and I'll give the link...

I've gotten to the point where I'll be content either way on Lucario, but I can't stand it when people have the nerve to create threads with the sole purpose of hating on one particular character...the original threads were created to debate about the character, so people against said character are more than welcome to post...

I think everyone is overlooking the reason why this guy doesn't know what he's talking about...

Now, I'm not asking you to know everything about the Kirby games, or even a lot, but I expect you to at least do a little bit of research, such as which game and/or console era Meta Knight debuted in.

Besides, Pokemon was only around for about 2 years when the first Smash Bros came out (and only a few months after the American release of Pokemon Red & Blue). Now I'm going to support Lucario just to spite people like you. Have a nice day.

Darkrai has absolutely no chance. Darkrai would be way to difficult to use in Brawl and it would make no sense to have it in the game and have no other legends in the game. Besides, Brawl players that aren't fans of Pokemon will unlock Darkrai and have no idea as to what it is. It's better to have a better, more well known Pokemon as a playable character in the game as usable characters and the lesser known characters in the Pokemon franchise as Pokemon that appear in-game through Pokeball use only.

Personally, Lucario has been released for 2 years now, though, only released officially in Diamond and Pearl. So really, he's not new. It wouldn't surprise me to see him in Brawl, though, I don't think that Lucario will be. Piplup, the starter Pokemon of Diamond and Pearl, is even in Brawl as a Pokemon appearing through a Pokeball, so once again, it wouldn't surprise me to see Lucario in Brawl as a main character at all.

LOL@ your ignorance. That would be three.
Pikachu
Pokemon Trainer
Jigglypuff

Argue all you **** want, but PT is one rep. Sakurai considers him one rep and the stamina system ensures the PT is one rep. Deal with it.

pikachu represents [mainly] pokemon yellow, and all other series
Pokemon trainer, represents fire red and leaf green
jigglypuff represents all other series.

You need to look at it how everyone else looks at it.
Pikachu represents 1st Gen
Pokemon Trainer represents 1st Gen
Jigglypuff represents 1st Gen.

Why would you think that Jigglypuff represents every other game? Jigglypuff was only popular the 1st Gen, and that's it. She does not represent Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh.

lol whatever.. jigglypuff represents red. blue, yellow. Doesn't make a difference in my opinion, since pikachu represents all games either way.

and btw everyone else looks at it as
1 rep: pikachu
2,3,4 rep: pokemon trainer

They don't even know about jigglypuff.

you can imagine it however you want, but either way pokemon is getting more representation that mario (what with pokeballs and all). It's been like that since the beginning even though mario is more popular than pokemon. Also like I've said, rayquaza is in adventure mode (but I guess Petey cancels him out)

I have only seen trolls and Pokemon haters consider PT three reps. He is only one. Deal with it.

There were three generations that did well after R/B/Y. There will be at least one representative from those three in Brawl.

Wtf. I hate lucario, I don't hate pokemon, my god. I can think of other games that deserve better representation, rather than adding more representation to a game that has more than enough.

THE 4TH GEN WAS DIDN'T ADD ANYTHING NEW AT ALL. IT DOESN'T DESERVE REP. AND DON'T SAY "OH THE PHYSICAL SPECIAL SPLIT BLEH BLEH BLEH" BECAUSE THAT WAS A CHAGE NOT SOMETHING NEW AND ALOT OF PEOPLE PLAYING THE GAMES DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE IT.
