Lucario - Best Way To Use Him?

Welcome to my World. Lucario's World.

I was wondering, what do you think is the best way to use a Lucario? Wall? Sweeper? Opener? Whichever, post what you think is the best way to use him, with A Custom Lucario to Boot with A MoveSet and stats and such.

I personally Think Lucario is best used as a Special Sweeper. If he has High Speed that is, like mine. Some how, I got Lucky enough to get a Full Speed IV. Almost Full HP, and others where accually pretty high. Except Defenses.

Heres how my Lucario, my Special Sweeper, fights. Well.. here's his Summary.

Obviously I'm sure theres better Lucarios, but what do you think? Acompanied by a Baton Paser Using Agility or Calm Mind or Something, I think its pretty mean.

Rucario @ Choice Scarf
Lvl 100
Nature - Modest
Ability - Steadfast
EVs - 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Attack, 4 HP

Dark Pulse
Aura Sphere
Psychic
Dragon Pulse/HP (Water)

The one thing Lucario needs, but lacks is Speed. I blame his Steel type.

HP Water can replace Dragon Pulse

PS-Serebii's idea works fine.

I'd use Steadfast on that set. That way, if you ever run into Ambipom (or any other Fake Outers) or Togekiss (and somehow survive it's Air Slash), your Speed will be raised, allowing for easier sweeping.

That looks like an Okay Moveset. Not all for Substitute, but otherwise yes, its pretty nice. What did you tell me the best Item for my Lucario is though? I deleted the PM

Serebii is pretty cool. I prefer Marriland but they don't give you the Pokemon that has IVS or a Pokedex by the Pokemons Base, So I just use Both.

Lucario is a very fun pokemon to use and a very dangerous one to face. I don't think there is any one best option for him (Sp sweeper, mixed sweeper or even all physical ) it really depends on the rest of your team on what set to use. Though I wouldn't use him as a lead unless he has a Choice Scarf or a priority move.

Any Lucario could use more Speed. Lucario's resistances help it slowly get down to the health needed for Salac Berry to activate.

Accually though, I've always kinda wondered... what is a Sublac Sweeper? I think its a sweeper that specializes in Physical and Special Attacks, but I also heard them called Mixed Sweepers.

Sublac?

SubSalac sweepers are pokemon that are strong but aren't too fast, so don't really sweep until at low health. The Salac Berry kicks in, adding Speed, making you a Sweeper. However, any non OHKO usually means death for the Sweeper.

If you're careful, on my SubSalac set, you can use Reversal over Close Combat and Endure over Substitute. But... then it wouldn't be a SubSalac sweeper. It'd be a Reversal sweeper.

My Lucario will be show up in the Middle/Late part of the match unless I must send him out earlier. I think it will work best if I had a baton passer who could use a move that raises speed (Agility) and that raises Special Attack (Calm Mind). Are their any that can do that, or is that even a good idea?

Use Agility to go faster than your opponen, then use Me First if you predict some odd attack, like Electivire using Earthquake, or Salamence with Draco Meteor, etc. , then there's Crunch for Dusknoir and Cresselia, and Close Combat for Blissey.

I had a Lucario like that. He knew Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, and Gyro Ball... this is when I was still a n00b trainer, but it DID have a full 31 IV in speed, which ALL Of HER children have, lol. Plus all the Children know Blaze Kick.

And yes, it is a good idea.

Espeon can't learn Agility.

This may be wierd, but Girafarig can learn Agility, Calm Mind and Baton Pass.

Floatzel can Bulk Up, Agility and pass. Or you could let Feraligatr Dragon Dance itself.
