How many of these have happened in the past? Any links/vids/threads of em? And what are the characters allowed? Thanks!

How far back is way back? Shame it died out lol. Since when were low tiers played by top players not hype?
Well before Brawl that used to be a side event in tournies at least in my area. But TBH l never watched top players on low tier tourneys unless they were using a low tier for the lulz like M2K.

That's about what I thought :/ earlier this year, I didn't realize what LTC2 was all about and I got all super hyped for it. Was let down like scrub I am lol

I'd say low tiers starting dying off around 2005-2006. It was a fun side event, but nobody ever took it seriously. I think the cutoff was mid tier and lower. I think Link and Roy was one of the highest tiered available characters, and most people played them. Not so much for tiers as much as they were popular characters I would imagine.

Dang that sucks :/ I definitely get more hype seeing g&w vs mewtwo over fox vs falco.
